Cassidy pursed her lips as she crossed her arms over her chest. He wanted to laugh, but decided not to, as she didn't seem in the mood.
"No do, sunshine, I gotta go. Can we talk later?" He asked casually.
"Oh, but you have the chance to beg Iry on behalf of your best friend."
Kyle rolled his eyes, her choice of words kicking him in the nuts. Yes, she was not in the mood to play games; and now he was certainly not in the mood, either.
"That's different. School is over and I—"
"Yesterday, you asked me to understand." Cassidy cut him off; his words pilling in his throat with the way she was looking at him. "I want to understand."
They looked at each other for a whole minute without saying a word.
Kyle felt how his mood changed again, Cassidy's presence easily melting down his anger. He realized how effortlessly she could make him go from completely enraged to absolutely tamed.
He laughed internally, not believing himself.
