"Isn't it natural?"

Being afraid of death... It is an instinct embedded in humans since birth. There might be exceptions, but most people avoid the danger that might threaten their lives. It's a natural fear, one essential for the survival of the race. 

"But it's..." Kieran, hesitant, shook his head after a brief pause, "It's strange."

The swordsman halted midway through his words, sending a sudden peek at his prince. The bluehead was staring at him with a smile. His face stood bright, and his eyes, although hazy and lightless, were bent into two crescents, matching with his curled-up lips. Looking at him now, he didn't appear to be the same person of a few nights ago; reaching out for a blade and begging to be beheaded.
