บท 77: Do you two have any conflicts?

What's there to be proud of? It's just giving you a ride to and from work, Rosetta thought, observing Amelia's relaxed demeanor, which only made her angrier.

"We've arrived, take your time getting off," Ethan said.

"Thanks, Ethan. Do you want to come up and visit? My mom is home," Rosetta suggested.

After considering it for a moment and looking at Amelia sitting beside him, Ethan smiled lightly and looked at Rosetta gently. "Maybe another day. I actually have something important to attend to today. Please give my regards to Aunt."

"Okay. When we have some alone time, you must come up and visit." Rosetta glanced proudly at Amelia before leaving with a light-hearted step, finally feeling relieved.

It sounded nice when she said it like that.

Amelia shook her head disdainfully. "Even if you invite me, I won't go."

Ethan watched her happily walk away and listened to Amelia's soft murmurs. He couldn't help but shake his head and sigh.

"Do you two have any conflicts?" he asked.

Conflicts?

Amelia paused for a moment, thought about it, and couldn't help but burst into laughter. After a moment, she suppressed her smile and solemnly replied, "Of course we do."

Ethan gave a slight start upon hearing that, then turned to look at her, pretending to be serious. "What kind of conflict?"

"The conflict from our past," Amelia casually remarked, feeling the urge to burst into laughter, so she resisted and looked out the window instead.

Ethan nodded lightly as if he understood some mysterious truth. "I see."

"..." The grudge of snatching her husband, irreconcilable enemies. She silently recited it in her heart without saying a word.

Amelia chuckled softly, sneakily casting a sidelong glance at him. She never expected this cold and proud man to have a humorous side.

The car sped along the road, now with one less person, but it somehow became livelier. The atmosphere improved compared to before.

Rosetta sat in the car, like an overheating third wheel…

Talking or exchanging glances, the atmosphere seemed much better, with a slight hint of unusual vibes spreading.

"This is not the way home," Amelia curiously looked outside, realizing that they weren't heading home or to Chinchol Manor. She couldn't help but ask.

Ethan glanced at her mysteriously and replied, "Don't ask anymore. You'll find out soon."

What kind of mysterious plan was he hatching?

Sitting in the car, Amelia guessed curiously, knowing that he wouldn't reveal anything even if she asked.

"We've arrived, please get off," Ethan said.

"This is our new place. I have been so busy that I forgot about this matter. The renovation is completed, and we can move in?" Amelia asked excitedly and happily, unable to hide the joy in her eyes.

"Yes. Let's go up and see if you're satisfied," Ethan said.

One after another, they arrived at the room. Amelia was utterly amazed—the decoration style was exactly what she liked. Additionally, there were two items she had casually glanced at while shopping, and Ethan had actually bought them.

"This lighting is what I like." Amelia raised her head, surprised and delighted as she looked at him.

"That's right, and there's also the leisure table. You can use it as a coffee table. Sit down, enjoy some coffee, and read a book. It's quite charming," Ethan said, leading her upstairs.

The upstairs decoration is very meticulous. Every detail is designed perfectly, even more so than the living room.

"This is incredible. It's too perfect." Amelia looked around in astonishment, feeling a profound sense of happiness.

Looking at the warm-toned room, with wallpaper coordinated to Amelia's liking, especially the bed and wardrobe, they were both elegant and exquisite, a perfect match that left no room for criticism.

Ethan watched Amelia's amazed and joyful expression, genuinely feeling happy himself.

"This place is our new home now."

Amelia turned around, and nodded at him, her eyes slightly moist.

Having been pushed away and without a proper place to stay, even after marrying Ethan and living in a luxurious villa, she never felt grounded.

Although Ethan bought this house, her name was listed as the homeowner, finally giving her a sense of security and a place to call home.

"Alright, if you're willing, you can stay here tonight."

"Of course, I'd love to."

After saying that, Amelia carefully toured the room, noticing a hammock on the balcony where she could bask in the sun and read. It was very considerate.

The phone rang, displaying Aria's name.

"Ethan, we've arrived. Are you there?"

"Yes, come up. I'm on the thirteenth floor."

Hanging up the phone, they happily walked downstairs and arrived in the living room. Amelia was delighted to hear that Aria and Adrian were visiting.

This younger sister was much cuter than his cousin, understanding and considerate, with a strong sense of justice.

"Ethan, Amelia, congratulations!"

Aria entered followed by Adrian, and they both looked around, momentarily speechless.

"Although it's an ordinary apartment, the space is quite large, and the decoration is high-end. Living here would be very comfortable," Adrian expressed his feelings while looking around.

Aria nodded beside him, "Yes, it seems like my brother really put in a lot of effort. Amelia, my brother treats you the best. He has never been this good to anyone before."

Amelia blushed and lowered her head, stealing a glance at Ethan. This man, powerful and influential, always met her every need, truly like a godlike existence.

"Let's sit down and take a rest for a while. I'll cut some fruit." Amelia carried the fruit brought by Aria and went to the kitchen.

After Amelia entered the kitchen, Aria looked at Ethan and asked softly and cautiously, "Why did you choose this place? Who was it originally bought for? Does she know?"

Ethan's deep eyes revealed a trace of worry as he shook his head and sighed softly, "I haven't told her. It's been so long. I can't even remember myself. Why bother telling her?"

"You're right. It's been a long time. Bringing it up might not be a good thing. Let it be in the past," Adrian said, taking a few steps and sitting next to Ethan, patting his shoulder as if comforting him. It was clear that it wasn't a pleasant matter.

"But what if she finds out..."

"...Ahem."

While Aria was speaking, Adrian cleared his throat twice, causing her to look at him with confusion. After a moment of hesitation, she turned her head back and saw Amelia standing behind her, holding the sliced oranges.

"Amelia." Getting up, she called out, looking a bit embarrassed. Ethan walked over, took the fruit from her, and placed it on the table.

Amelia nodded gently, walking over and holding her hand. They sat together on the couch, exchanging words and laughter as if they hadn't heard anything earlier.

Adrian looked at Ethan and let out a sigh of relief.

The nervous expression in Ethan's face slowly dissipated.
