He swept his probing gaze around and stumbled upon the sight of a familiar yet unfamiliar woman. With long, silky black hair cascading around her form, her glowing red eyes, almost dripping with blood, were fixated on him, etched with scrutiny as if he were a kind or rare relic waiting for her to appraise. Her face, molded into perfection without any single flaw, made anyone who laid their eyes on her fall into a trance, trapped in a maze she unwittingly offered.

"Annie?" Magnus called out as he approached her, disregarding her question. For some reason, he could feel the deep connection between them, as if their souls were once merged into an unbreakable bond. Why is that so? But whatever it is, he welcomed such a possibility. Magnus remarked in his head.
