บท 59: Arriving at the destination

"What the hell are you doing first thing in the morning?" Darryl retorted as he woke up from his slumber, rubbing his eyes to clear his vision.

"Keep your voice down, Darryl. She is possessed by a spirit," Kuber said in a hushed voice, gesturing for Darryl to be quiet.

"What spirit? She is obviously in shock," Darryl replied, his brows furrowed in confusion.

"A shock..." Kuber began to say but then turned to Elowen.

"I can't believe you fell for that, master," she said, bursting into laughter.

"Alright, that's enough. Let's ask Vivian what happened last night," Kuber suggested.

Approaching Vivian, he lightly tapped her shoulder to get her attention. Vivian, startled by the tap, shifted her gaze from outside to Kuber.

"You, who are you?" Vivian asked, her forehead creased with concern at the sudden appearance of Kuber. Kuber's eyes narrowed as he glanced back at Darryl and Elowen, seeking answers.
