บท 5: Dance Off

The impact was immediate. The Flash's velocity shattered, sending the creature tumbling backward. Isaac reacted with lightning reflexes, his instincts guiding him. With a deft motion, he caught the paralyzed Flash, securing it with unwavering strength. "Gotcha!"

Isaac's grip tightened on the flash, his victorious gaze turning toward the approaching figures of Edgar and Maria.

"They're quicker than I expected…" Issac assessed their positions with a calculated glance, his eyes narrowing in focus, as he patted the Flash on its head. "You're going to be home soon, buddy. There's just some things that I've got to take care of first.."

"I've got eyes on him," Edgar spoke, his voice steady, as he squinted his eyes to discern the details. "Looks like he's got the flash in his grasp."

Maria let out a short chuckle, her lips curling into a smirk. She met Edgar's gaze and nodded, the unspoken plan between them taking shape. "Well, looks like our dragon-riding prodigy is living up to his reputation," she replied, her tone tinged with a mixture of amazement and determination. "There's only one option for us, isn't there?"

Edgar nodded, a steely resolve settling in his features. He tugged on the reins, urging his dragon to slow down, creating a considerable distance between himself and Maria. With a final nod, they both understood their roles in the upcoming skirmish.

"Issac!" Maria yelled loudly while extending her arm, her fingers outstretched as she closed the gap between herself and Isaac. Heat radiated from her fingertips as beams of scorching energy shot forth.

Swoosh!

"I'm sorry, Maria. But the flash stays with me!" Isaac, ever the prodigy, anticipated her move, and his response was instantaneous.

WHAM!

Flames erupted from his hands, meeting Maria's attack mid-air and causing a brilliant explosion that shattered the ground below.

"Hyup!" Isaac yanked on the reins, commanding his dragon to ascend rapidly, evading Maria's follow-up assault.

WHOOSH!

"You're not getting away!" Maria pursued him relentlessly as her hands became a fiery symphony, launching incendiary salvos in a desperate pursuit, and yet Issac's connection with his dragon was unparalleled, their bond a dance of absolute precision, weaving and dodging each blazing onslaught with awe-inspiring precision. Each of Maria's fiery projectiles missed its mark as Isaac deftly outmaneuvered her.

Then, in a breathtaking display of skill, he twisted his body and countered with his own volley of retaliatory shots, compelling Maria to push her dragon to the limits, twisting and turning to escape the scorching aftermath.

"Don't you forget about me!" Edgar descended through the clouds like a harbinger of storm and fury, his eyes fixed on Isaac's turned figure.

ZZZZAP!

A bolt of electrifying energy crackled from his fingertips and streaked through the clouds, aimed directly at Issac's exposed form.

Issac's instincts screamed a warning, the hairs on his neck standing on end. His grin widened, a mixture of exhilaration and determination.

WHOOSH!

Without missing a beat, he yanked the reins, commanding his dragon to execute a daring spiral mid-air. The lightning bolt sizzled right past him, missing its mark, as Isaac's dragon spun with uncanny agility, the move executed flawlessly.

"Crap!" Edgar's voice seethed with frustration as he wrestled with his dragon, urging it to slow down, desperate to avoid a collision with Maria who continued her relentless pursuit of Isaac.

Maria, her eyes filled with determination, mirrored Edgar's maneuver, veering her dragon sharply to the right, the two dragons flying past each other in a heart-stopping near-miss. The air crackled with electricity as their dragons left trails of energy in their wake.

But the danger was far from over.

With a swift descent from the heavens, Isaac surged toward them, his dragon executing yet another acrobatic flip. The thrill of battle ignited his veins, a fierce determination fueling his every move.

"Gotcha!" Isaac's voice carried a mix of excitement and triumph as beams of fiery energy shot forth from his fingertips, hurtling toward Edgar with unstoppable force.

"You've got to be shitting me!" Edgar cursed, his heart pounding in his chest as he desperately attempted to evade the incoming attack. Time seemed to slow as he twisted and turned, his body straining against the g-forces that threatened to overwhelm him. But the searing beams of flame closed in, the impact imminent.

BAM!

The attack struck Edgar and his dragon, a resounding explosion filling the air. Agonizing pain radiated through their bodies as they were thrown backward, their forms tumbling through the sky. Edgar's grip on the reins slipped, and he was catapulted off his dragon, hurtling through the air toward the unforgiving ground below.

As he fell, Edgar's bracelet activated, enveloping him in a transparent, protective coating. The impact with the ground was still jarring, but miraculously, he emerged unscathed. Pain pulsated through his body, but he forced himself to push through, rising from the ground with a weary sigh.

"Ugh... Goddamn it!" Edgar's voice was laced with frustration as he struggled to stand. He couldn't help but feel a twinge of disappointment in his defeat. "Can't believe I lost again..."

In the boundless expanse of the sky, Maria unleashed a relentless barrage of flame beams, each one searing through the air with scorching intensity. But Isaac, the embodiment of grace and agility, effortlessly evaded her attacks, his movements a seamless symphony of precision.

"You're persistent, I'll give you that," Isaac remarked with a smirk, his voice laced with a hint of admiration. The winds whipped around him, heightening his senses and amplifying his connection to the dragon beneath him. With a flick of his wrist, he guided his dragon through the turbulent currents, dodging each fiery assault with uncanny ease.

"You can always give up the flash if you're not up for a fight." Maria replied, her eyes blazed with determination and her resolve unyielding.

Swoosh!

She matched Isaac's every move, her dragon mirroring his nimble maneuvers with fierce determination. The sky became their battlefield, a swirling canvas of vibrant hues as their powers clashed.

Isaac responded to Maria's onslaught with bursts of searing flames, the tongues of destruction licking at the air, leaving trails of scorched residue in their wake.

WHOOSH!

Yet Maria was no ordinary opponent. She deftly evaded Isaac's fiery assaults, her reflexes honed to perfection. She conjured torrents of flames, each surge a testament to her unwavering willpower. The projectiles surged toward Isaac, propelled by the sheer force of her fiery prowess.

"You're going to have to do better than that if you wish to beat me!" Isaac responded with a grin. He was no stranger to the art of evasion.

With a snap of his fingers, Issac manipulated the winds, creating powerful gusts of air that disrupted Maria's attacks, sending them astray.

Their dragons danced through the clouds, locked in a mesmerizing display of skill and determination. A symphony of power and finesse unfolded as they circled and clashed, their eyes locked in an unyielding contest of wills. With each movement, calculated and executed with precision, they sought to outmaneuver and outwit one another.

"I must admit, you've gotten better," Isaac acknowledged, a hint of admiration in his voice as he flew backward, never once taking his eyes off Maria. She responded with a snarky retort, her tone laced with a touch of defiance. "Is that your way of admitting you can't defeat me?"

"On the contrary…" Isaac's lips curled into a sly grin as he surged forward all of a sudden, closing the distance between them.

WHOOSH!

"What the-" Maria, caught off guard by his audacity, veered her dragon to the right, narrowly avoiding a mid-air collision.

Swoosh!

"Are you crazy?!" A surge of frustration coursed through her veins as she attempted to land a hit on Isaac, launching beams of flames toward him.

ZAP! ZAP! ZAP!

"Not good enough!" However, Isaac's impeccable reflexes allowed him to counter each attack, his own flames intertwining with hers in a mesmerizing display of power.

Isaac's dragon soared toward the direction where Mr. Esposito awaited, his eyes gleaming with determination. Maria's frustrated voice rang out, her words laced with disbelief. "You're running away?!"

As they engaged in their high-flying battle, Isaac, whose gaze was fixed on the new challenge that had presented itself on the horizon, addressed Maria without breaking his stride, his voice dripping with confidence. "I'm not running away. I'm taking you into a different fight."

Maria's frustration mounted, her brows furrowed in confusion. "A different fight? What do you mean?" However, her question was soon answered as she saw a group of dragons heading towards them.

"Oh, you have got to be kidding me…" Maria, who noticed the group of students approaching them, let out an annoyed groan. "You're going to fight with the entire class, aren't you, you crazy son of a bitch?!"

Isaac continued his flight toward the crowd of students, his eyes ablaze with determination. "I'm confident I can evade and beat each and every one of them. The question is, are you confident enough to follow me?"

"Goddamn you…" Annoyance mingled with curiosity as Maria weighed her options.
