"I don't like that girl," Emma said, closing the door after saying goodbye to Riya and her girlfriend.
Kevin nodded in agreement. "She's a textbook gold digger. I don't get why Riya can't see it."
Lora had chosen to stay home while Riya and Natalie—the girl Emma and Kevin were talking about—went on their date. "Even if she outright admitted she's a gold digger, Riya still wouldn't believe it," Lora remarked, heading to her room. "I'm going to take a nap," she added, muttering excitedly, "I've missed my afternoon naps."
While Maria was in the kitchen washing dishes, she saw Lora head into her room and asked, "Are we going to do it?"
Kevin and Emma both understood what she meant and why she was asking, but it wasn't Kevin's place to answer. He glanced at Emma, knowing it was her decision since Lora was her daughter, and she would have to decide if the three of them could still have fun with Lora in the house.
