Darting up the stairs of the inn, my pulse quickened in response to the sudden tremors rattling the ground. Concern for the safety of our party and the unfolding events raced through my mind.
Bam!
As I burst into the inn's common area, a sense of urgency struck me. The party members were there, their faces reflecting panic, bracing against the increasingly violent tremors. The walls groaned, and items clattered on tables and shelves.
A surge of foreboding consumed us. Despite the ferocity of the tremors, the sturdy metal structures of Aleria's buildings held remarkably well.
Elias's shout pierced through the chaos, his voice steady against the quaking walls. "Everyone, stay calm! These earthquakes are getting worse but they're not bad enough to crack through the ground!"
If you find anything weird with this chapter, please forgive me. It is currently 11:40PM. Today I woke up at 5:20Am with only 5-6hours of sleep and I'm mentally braindead. I hope I didn't write something totally weird and somehow percieved it as the normal continuation from the previous chapter--My eyes are legit flashing letters around my screen as I'm writing this, so please, cut me some slack !
