บท 69: The Staircase of Time Flow

"It's not here…?" I voiced out as I browsed the place where I formerly set the book in.

Lira, who had already made her way back to the exit, turned to see me still standing among the bookshelves. "Hey, Nord, are you going to take long? We need to keep moving."

I shook my head, my thoughts snapping back to the present. 

"Ah, no no," Without wasting any more time, I walked towards Lira, locking the faction base's door with the key before tucking it safely into my inventory.

As I rejoined the group, we set off on our journey towards the heart of the city. 

The mist had thickened, wrapping around us like a shroud. 

Visibility was reduced to a mere few meters, and even the glow of the lanterns placed every few meters struggled to penetrate the dense fog. We walked in close formation, our steps synchronized as we navigated through the labyrinthine streets.
