Sighing heavily, I turned to face Eva, my eyes searching hers for some semblance of understanding. "I didn't play my cards right this time," I chuckled bitterly, the laughter laced with desperation as I clutched my face in a moment of madness.

Eva's hands found my shoulders, gripping them tightly as she shook me gently, her eyes filled with urgency. "I don't understand! What did you do?" Her voice cracked with emotion, a plea for clarity in the midst of confusion.

The room was shrouded in complete darkness, save for the menacing silhouette of my face, illuminated by some unknown source, casting eerie shadows across the walls. In that dim light, Eva could only see my piercing gaze fixed upon her as I spoke, my voice cutting through the silence like a blade of ice.

"Leave," I uttered coldly, the command laced with a palpable sense of authority, my eyes boring into hers with an intensity that seemed to strip away any defiance.
