"Leave my presence, human," Raymond said.

Quickly, Jessica rushed to Jeffery and assisted him in standing up before they both left the chambers after bowing down to the king.

"I told you we should wait till another time, " Jeffery said once they were out of the door. "I need some water…"

"Let's get back to my chambers…"Jessica replied. "And you're right. I should have listened to you but I think it went well though."

"Went well?" Jeffery asked with a scoff. "What is it with your family messing with people's minds and bodies?"

"It's a vampire thing… but as for the king… his aura is what pressured you. He's powerful… the most powerful in all of Transmere…" Jessica explained matter-of-factly.

"I felt like I was about to combust. It wasn't a nice feeling," Jeffery said. 

"I don't think it would happen again," Jessica assured. " I will let him know-"
