*********

it was revealed that Thor's true form is a hammer. Despite Steve Rogers summoning thunder and striking Thanos, creating one of the most iconic and glorious moments in Marvel history, it seemed like victory was within reach.

However, unfortunately, Thanos was too powerful.

In a moment of clarity, Thanos swiftly knocked Steve Rogers off his feet, causing his hammer, Mjolnir, to slip from his grasp and fly outwards.

Seemingly provoked by Steve Rogers, Thanos kicked up a double-edged sword from the ground, gripping it with both hands, and swung fiercely at Steve Rogers.

Steve Rogers raised his shield in an attempt to block the attack, and while the shield managed to withstand the blow, the double-edged sword sliced right through it!

"What material is that sword made of? It even cuts through Vibranium!" Tony Stark exclaimed in astonishment. The shield was made of Vibranium, the hardest metal on Earth, yet it was effortlessly cleaved apart.

But the sword's penetration was only the beginning. Thanos relentlessly attacked, striking several more times until the shield was completely shattered.

Swish!

With the final blow, Thanos sent Steve Rogers flying over ten meters away.

Steve Rogers lay on the ground, blood streaming from his mouth, unable to get back up.

The scene faded, and the video ended.

This segment of the video was incredibly oppressive. Captain America, Thor, and Iron Man were constantly on the defensive throughout the battle. Despite Captain America briefly gaining the upper hand, the overall outcome was their defeat.

"After the Battle of New York and the Age of Ultron, I wondered if there would be any other conflicts," Tony Stark broke the silence. "And it seems there is, with this Purple Yam guy. He's obviously not from the Battle of New York or the Age of Ultron, so he must be a completely new enemy."

"Isn't this person too powerful?" Bruce Banner was secretly alarmed. "Even in the future, Thor and Stark are already incredibly strong, and Captain America even wielded Thor's hammer. Yet, they still suffered a devastating defeat."

"I think I know who that person is," Thor spoke up slowly.

"Who is it?" Tony Stark, along with everyone else, focused their gaze on Thor.

"Stark, do you remember the mention of Ebony Maw and Proxima Midnight before?" Thor said. "I told you back then that they were henchmen of the universal tyrant, Thanos. The person we just faced was Thanos himself."

"Thor, what are you saying? A universal tyrant?" Steve Rogers could hardly believe his ears. He had only taken a nap, and the world had changed drastically.

Gods, aliens, sorcerers, witches—all these things that were unimaginable before were suddenly appearing. And now, there was a universal tyrant as well? Just the term "universal tyrant" alone was enough to convey the severity of the situation.

What kind of power does one need to dominate the universe?

"We're facing cosmic-level enemies now," Bruce Banner remarked, feeling the situation was surreal. "I really want to know why the Avengers are fighting against the ruler of the universe. Earth is already insignificant on a cosmic scale, not to mention the humans living on it. If that person truly is the universal tyrant, why would he bother fighting with puny humans?"

"Thor, what do you know about this Thanos?" Steve Rogers didn't dwell on why Thanos would fight Earth's inhabitants; instead, he sought to gather any information about their new adversary.

"I know very little. All I know is that this person is a madman, an executioner who has slaughtered countless planets."

"Slaughtering planets? Could it be that we're fighting him because he intends to slaughter Earth?" Steve Rogers questioned.

"Captain, I can't answer that question," Thor replied.

"Then why does Thanos slaughter planets?" Bruce Banner asked.

"Dr. Banner, I don't know either," Thor responded helplessly.

"While we may not know the reason behind Thanos's planet-slaughtering, it is highly possible that he has set his sights on Earth," Tony Stark analyzed. "The environment in the battle we saw in the video, the ruins, the destroyed buildings—it resembled the aftermath of a bombardment. There were only a few of us fighting in the video. Where were the others? Were they all annihilated?"

"Stark, don't be so pessimistic," Steve Rogers said. "Although that area appeared to have been bombed, it doesn't necessarily mean that Thanos plans to slaughter the entire Earth. There were no other people there, perhaps because it was a personal conflict between us and Thanos. We have too few clues about Thanos and the battle with him to draw any effective conclusions."

"Thor, when you return, ask your father about Thanos," Tony Stark suggested to Thor.

"I will inquire," Thor replied.

"Since we know nothing about Thanos, I think we should focus on Thor's hammer," Bruce Banner proposed. "The title mentions Captain secretly 'mastering a combo.' At first, I thought it meant Captain was secretly practicing, but judging from Thor's reaction in the video when he saw Captain wielding the hammer, it was evident that it was Captain's first time wielding the hammer for real."

"What do you mean, 'mastering a combo'? It must be a joke," Steve Rogers said. "The hammer is Thor's weapon. Why would I practice with someone else's weapon? If I were to practice, it would be with my shield."

"That's where the problem lies," Bruce Banner continued. "Captain wielded the hammer for the first time but was able to summon lightning, just like Thor! Doesn't that mean anyone who can wield the hammer can summon lightning?"

"It seems so," Tony Stark said, then he asked Thor, "Thor, do you know about this, wielding the hammer to summon lightning?"

"How would I know!" Thor replied. "Until then, I always believed that only I could wield the hammer!"

"Captain only summoned lightning and didn't demonstrate flight, but that doesn't mean it's impossible," Bruce Banner added. "Since wielding the hammer grants the ability to summon lightning, I believe the hammer has other abilities as well."

"If that's the case, anyone who can wield the hammer would possess the same abilities as Thor," Tony Stark said. "In the video, I joked with Thor about whether wielding the hammer would grant rulership over Asgard, but now I think that anyone who wields the hammer can become another Thor."

"Thank you to the generous donation from Quanshui Sheji for making me realize that you've already donated twice. Thank you."
