บท 64: Chapter 64: Thor, I Didn't Expect You to Be Like This, the God of Thunder

"It should be that robot," Phil Coulson said, "Those three individuals, it's clear that the robot is the leader. There's no reason to name it after a subordinate instead of using the leader's name. And the name 'Ultron' doesn't sound like a personal name."
"So, this disaster is mainly caused by a robot?" Thor found it somewhat unbelievable, "That robot doesn't seem that powerful."
"There might be more than one robot," Clint Barton said, "In those movies about artificial intelligence, when artificial intelligence gains self-awareness, it never involves just one robot. It's always an army of robots."
"Although there's no evidence yet indicating there's more than one robot," Tony Stark said in a deep voice, "I believe Barton's idea is correct. It's very likely that in the Age of Ultron, we'll be facing an army of robots. These self-aware robots have the means to replicate themselves and mass-produce more robots in a short period of time. If I were Ultron, the first thing I would do is replicate myself."
"Stark, speaking of Ultron, I'm a little worried. Your armor may not be a robot, but J.A.R.V.I.S. is an artificial intelligence," Phil Coulson said, "One day in the future, could J.A.R.V.I.S. turn out to be like in the movies, wanting to eradicate humanity?"
"No, J.A.R.V.I.S. doesn't possess autonomous consciousness," Tony Stark denied.
"But what if one day J.A.R.V.I.S. develops self-awareness?" Phil Coulson continued, "That's how it happened in the movies too, a robot designed to serve humanity gains self-awareness due to some unexpected incident and wants to eliminate humans."
"Stark, I think Coulson's concerns are valid," Clint Barton also said, "Look at our world now, there are gods, aliens, magic, witches. Adding one more self-aware artificial intelligence doesn't sound that hard to accept."
"I'll keep something up my sleeve," Tony Stark said, "I'll separately develop a self-destruction program for all the armors, detached from J.A.R.V.I.S. That way, even if J.A.R.V.I.S. gains control of the armors, I can still destroy them. At the same time, I'll install a backdoor in J.A.R.V.I.S. If J.A.R.V.I.S. shows any signs, I'll destroy it."
In the video, a Quinjet slowly landed on a lush green lawn, surrounded by green trees, making it a very suitable place to live.
Clint Barton supported Natasha Romanoff as they walked at the front, with the other Avengers following behind. The group headed towards a white house.
"What is this place?" Thor asked when they were about to reach the entrance.
"It's a safe house," Tony Stark said.
"Let's hope so," Clint Barton opened the door and walked in. As he walked, he said, "Darling, I'm back."
A pregnant woman walked out and was surprised to see so many people in the house.
"We have guests, sorry we didn't call ahead," Clint Barton embraced his wife.
As for the other Avengers behind them, they were all stunned. They thought Clint Barton had brought them to a safe house or a similar location, but they didn't expect to be taken to his home.
"Gentlemen, this is Laura," Clint Barton smiled happily as he introduced his wife to the Avengers.
"I know all of your names," Laura said, looking excitedly at the Avengers.
"Oh, here they come," Clint Barton predicted, suddenly turning around.
Then, a little girl ran out with a face full of excitement and jumped into Clint Barton's arms. There was also a slightly older boy who came out with them.
"A virtuous wife, a beautiful daughter, a steady son," Tony Stark couldn't help but say, "Barton, your life is truly enviable."
"Yes, it's enviable," Thor, the god himself, also spoke up, "This kind of life is truly desirable."
"Did you bring Auntie Natasha back?" Clint Barton's daughter asked sweetly in the video, melting the hearts of everyone present.
"Why don't you come over and hug Auntie directly?" Natasha Romanoff walked out and picked up the little girl.
"Sorry for the interruption," Captain America walked out from the astonishment of Clint Barton having a family, "We should have called ahead," Tony Stark said, holding his arm, "but we were busy figuring out if you guys still exist."
"When I joined, Fury helped me set all of this up, not recorded in S.H.I.E.L.D.'s files," Clint Barton said, embracing his daughters, "It's better to keep it this way, I think this is a good place to keep a low profile."
Snap!
At that moment, Thor, with his golden hair, accidentally stepped on a toy on the ground.
Captain America heard the unusual sound and turned to look at Thor.
Then, as if nothing had happened, Thor kicked all the broken toys under the sofa with his foot.
Then, an awkward scene unfolded. Thor turned his head and saw Clint Barton's daughter standing in front of him, raising her little head and looking at him with big eyes.
"Thor, aren't you ashamed of yourself?" Phil Coulson couldn't bear to watch this and spoke up, "Stepping on someone's toy, secretly kicking the broken toy under the sofa, and getting caught red-handed!"
"When those watery eyes are looking at you, I ask you," Tony Stark questioned, "Thor, does your conscience not condemn you?"
"Alright, everyone, let's stop talking about it. I was wrong, and I sincerely apologize," Thor's face turned red as he spoke to Clint Barton, "Barton, if I have the chance, I'll bring a bunch of toys for your children."
"That's what you said, Thor. I'll remember it," Clint Barton said.
The video didn't end there but switched to another scene. It was still in Clint Barton's home, but it was nighttime instead of daytime.
"Ultron is trying to buy time to temporarily hinder your actions," Nick Fury said while preparing dinner in the kitchen, "My contact says he's working on something. He stole a large amount of vibranium, but I think that's just the beginning."
"What about Ultron himself?" Captain America leaned against the door and asked.
"He's easily traceable. He's everywhere. This guy reproduces faster than unneutered rabbits," Nick Fury placed a glass of wine on the table.
The scene ended there.
