บท 37: Chapter 37
Wen walked into his shop with a smile on his face as he entered the shop and waited for his employees to come there. He went through the supplies and made sure that everything is in order before he went to his seat and sat there while waiting for them to come.
Soon after both Hu Yi and Xu Lien walked inside the shop and greeted him before they went to their respective posts as they were fully ready for business again.
Hu Yi went through the records for the materials to make sure that everything was in order while Xu Lien went through the shelves and refreshed her memory regarding what and where the things are.
Wen smiled at seeing the two work diligently as he used his powers to check his surroundings to make sure that no evil presence is nearby.
He also concealed his own energy to make sure that the woman he had met before wouldn't be able to find him. She'll just think of him as another normal man when she does feel his energy since at that time he wasn't actually trying to conceal his energy after all.
He went through his emails and other things while he sat on his desk as he waited for customers to come. He was quite confident in that, not only because of his powers, but also because most people can't afford the high end medical bills.
While western medicine would give them a quicker and faster way to cure a disease, the sheer amount of money needed for them to buy the service is not something that many people can do.
Not to mention the fact that they would want to save their cash in case of emergencies. Which is why shops of his type are quite popular. And due to the presence of herbal medicines in their culture, people would want to have a go at it as well.
'My medicine are also quite good and effective as well. Not fast enough to be supernatural, but fast enough that people won't question it.' Wen thought to himself with a smile as he sat at his desk.
And soon enough people started to enter his shop and his two employees started to work immediately when they saw the customers. Their number of customers have been on steady rise and he is happy to see that so many people are willing to come to his shop.
'And not to mention the fact that having the reputation of being able to make good medicine will certainly help me as well.' Wen thought to himself as he smiled at the thought.
He also wanted to get back at Zhang Huan after all. And for that, him establishing and running his own shop would be a nice addition to the things that he can use against the man.
He was deemed useless by Zhang Huan, but now he has a business which is being visited by many people. And they are also content with the treatment he gives them we well which helps with his reputation as well. A good reputation is also needed to have a long standing business after all.
While Wen was trending to his shop, Lin is in her office as she is biting her nail as Zhang Huan hadn't come to her home yesterday as well. Which was frustrating for her, as he had informed her parents that he wouldn't be able to come because of some things at his own family.
'Even if he is the heir to the Zhang family, does he really have to be there? Especially when I actually needed to meet him.' Lin thought to herself as she sighed to herself.
She shook away those thoughts and instead focused on her work as she looked at it and was glad that her company is doing well. Even if she had married him to save the reputation and state of her family, she never wanted him to interfere in her company.
Which is why she is happy to see it flourishing without any of his interference as it proves that her hard work is working. She has worked hard to make sure that the company will be able to be a success and it is shaping up to be that.
'I am so glad that I made sure to keep the company as my property. I know that he was trying to get it under his control, but I'm really glad I didn't.' Lin thought to herself as she was glad that she was cautious in the past.
She reclined on her chair and raised her right hand felt her chi flow through it as she was delighted at seeing it. As she had worked hard to get such control over her chi after all.
'But it's still not enough. My progress is slow even if I'm young. Well, there's nothing I can do about that right now. Maybe Wen can help after I manage to fully reconcile with him.' Lin thought to herself as she sat on her chair.
She has also been making plans for her to enact when she does get to have that divorce with Zhang Huan. After all, she doesn't want the divorce with him to cripple her drastically.
'Not to mention, it might also reveal the people alongside me who are in support of him. Many people had joined us after my marriage and I don't know which ones are actually fully loyal to me.' Lin thought to herself as she thought about it.
She can't make any mistakes regarding that. One or two, perhaps small mistakes, but she can't make any big ones which will endanger her family.
It was then that she stopped as she remembered the words of her ex-husband's sister as she became a bit sad at remembering the conversation and how it had went.
"I was being quite hypocritical after all. She had every right. If it had happened to my sister then I would have acted the same way." Lin thought to herself as she sighed to herself as she remembered the talk.
She took some time for herself to think things over as she went over the contingencies she had thought about in case of emergencies and repercussions from her divorce. She will get that divorce no matter what, but she also has to be capable enough to handle the aftermath of the divorce, alongside any other problems that she might face in retaliation to the divorce.
'Soon, I'll get back at you Zhang Huan. You can count on it.' Lin thought to herself as she glared at the screen of her computer.
