บท 1: A new addition
***Underworld, Vesperion family house***
A young man can be seen walking down a hallway towards a double door. This young man is none other than Kaiser Vesperion. The last heir to the once noble house. Once he arrived at the double door he knocked twice and then waited for permission to enter.
"Enter." said a male voice from behind the door.
Kaiser opened the door and entered the room. He closed the door behind him and then scanned the people in front of him. Behind the table sitting in a chair was his father Michael Vesperion. To his right was a woman, namely Alicia Vesperion his mother. To his father's left there was an unknown woman. She had silver hair and silver eyes. She was wearing a maid's uniform.
"Father, Mother." Kaiser greeted and then looked at the silver-haired woman. "May I ask who you might be?" he asked the woman, but she just looked at him not saying anything.
"Her name is Grayfia Lucifuge. We found her not far from our home. She said that the reason why she was around here was because she was escaping from a marriage she didn't want. Could you please tell him your story Grayfia?" asked Michael.
She nodded and started speaking.
"My name is Grayfia Lucifuge. My clan is known for their servitude to the Lucifer clan and I was the next in line to enter that servitude as a wife and maid to the middle child of the Lucifer clan Atagi Lucifer. He is well-known for taking any women of his liking and abusing them until their spirit breaks. I did not wish to subjugate myself to such treatment so I ran away. They sent some people after me, but I killed them and ended up being found by Lord Vesperion. He offered me to become the personal maid to the heir of Vesperion house and I accepted." Grayfia explained.
"Thank you Grayfia." Michael thanked her for the explanation and looked towards Kaiser.
"As she said I wish for her to become your personal maid. I think this would be a nice start for you to start socializing a little bit." he explained with a smile, but then his expression turned serious.
"There is another thing that I wish to talk to you about. There is a storm brewing on the horizon. I got some information that the four Satans are planning to go to war against heaven again. But this time there are more people against a war than the last time and there is a rebelling force made up of noble houses. I think this is the perfect time for you to make your debut in the Underworld." he explained.
"May I ask why?" Kaiser asked.
"With sufficient strength, it is easy to gain influence during wartime. Especially among devils because our race values nothing above strength. I firmly believe that with your strength you could raise our house's standing once again in the underworld. Grayfia will inform you further of the strength of each faction and you can plan your steps accordingly." Michael explained and beckoned for Grayfia to stand next to Kaiser, she obeyed and moved next to him.
"I will do my best father." Kaiser said as he turned to leave the room with Grayfia following behind him.
***Office after Kaiser left***
"Are you sure this is the right to do? I still don't like the idea of my son fighting in a war." Alicia expressed her worries.
"He needs this. He has been sheltered all his life, all he did was train and train but training without experience isn't worth much. He'll be exposed to all the ugliness this world has to offer and from that point, he shall decide what path to take forward. And as his parents, we shall do our utmost to support him." Michael explained to his wife and stood up to hug her affectionately.
"Then I'll trust in your judgement dear." Alicia said while laying her head on her husband's chest.
***With Kaiser***
They made it to Kaiser's study room and entered through the door. Inside the room, there is a table with a chair behind it in the center of the room. On both sides of the room, there are bookshelves and to the left, there is a sofa. Once inside Grayfia closed the door behind her while Kaiser took a seat on the sofa.
"So, what can you tell me about the four Satan's forces and the Rebellion's forces?" asked Kaiser.
"The four Satans are from the Lucifer, Leviathan, Beelzebub and Asmodeus families. The weakest Satan, Asmodeus is in the initial-level satan-class and their strongest fighter, Lucifer is in the peak-level satan-class, although there have been rumours that Lucifer has reached a new level of power beyond the satan-class but there hasn't been an official confirmation from the Satans to validate these claims. Taking extreme precautions is highly advised whether these rumours turn out to be true or not. Their most notable fighting force consists of the Satans' right-hand men, all of them are at the initial-level of calamity-class except for the one serving under Lucifer because he is at the intermediate-level. Furthermore, they have a combined force of at least 20 ultimate-class fighters and a lot more high-class." Grayfia explained.
"As for the Rebellion, they are led by four devils rumoured to be able to contend against the four Satans. Sirzechs Gremory, Serafall Sitri, Ajuka Astaroth and Falbium Glasya-Labolas. Their true strength is unknown and there is no information on exactly how many noble houses are supporting this rebellion." explained further Grayfia and once she was finished she looked at Kaiser as he was digesting the information.
"The fact that you are with me already puts a target on my back, once someone who knows what happened sees us we will most likely be attacked. It would be best to get in contact with one of the main families in the rebellion and ask for a meeting. But we will need to watch our backs even amongst allies because there are quite a few people who would want to kill me on the spot because I'm a part of house Vesperion." Kaiser explained his thoughts and Grayfia nodded.
"Among the four leading families, house Gremory and House Sitri seem the most plausible, following them are house Astaroth and house Glasya-Labolas." said Grayfia.
"Then please try to set up a meeting between the heir of house Vesperion and one of these families." Kaiser asked the maid who only responded with a nod and left the room to do what was asked of her.
