บท 4: 4.Girls Just Want To Have Fun

I was getting ready to go out with my bestie Mia when she walked into my apartment. "Hey girlie, you ready to shake our booties?" She asked, grinning.

I smiled back at her. "Definitely. But first, I have to tell you about my date with Alex," I said, feeling excited.

Mia's eyes widened. "Ooh, spill the tea. How was it?" she asked, looking eager.

I took a deep breath before launching into the story. "It was amaaaazing. We went to this cute little bar & grill and talked for hours. We have so much in common, and I feel like we really connected," I said, smiling.

Mia grinned. "That's so awesome. I'm so happy for you," she said, giving me a hug.

I felt a warm feeling in my chest as Mia hugged me. "Thanks, Mia. I'm really excited to see where things go with Alex," I said, feeling grateful.

Mia pulled back and looked at me seriously. "Just remember, Sarah, you deserve the bestest. Don't settle for anything less," she said, looking me in the eyes.

I felt a little emotional as Mia spoke. "Aww, thanks, Mia. You're the sweetest," I said, feeling touched.

We continued to chat as we got ready to go out, and I couldn't help but feel grateful for Mia's friendship. She always knew just what to say to make me feel better.

As we arrived at the club, the music was already pumping, and the dance floor was filling up. Mia and I made our way to the bar and ordered our drinks. We then headed to the dance floor to let loose and have some fun.

After a few songs, Mia pulled me aside. "Hey, girlie, I'm so happy your date went well, but you're still single, so why don't you keep your options open? You never know who you might meet," she said, looking at me with a grin.

I nodded, understanding what she meant. "Aww, thanks, Mia. I appreciate your advice. I guess I'm just a hopeless romantic, always hoping to meet my Prince Charming," I said with a sigh.

Mia laughed. "I totally get it, girl. But sometimes, you have to kiss a few frogs before you find your prince," she said, winking at me.

I giggled. "You're right, Mia. I'll keep my options open and see what happens. Who knows, maybe I'll find someone even better than my date," I said, feeling excited at the prospect.

As we danced, a guy came up to us and asked if I wanted to dance with him. I hesitated for a moment, but then shook my head. "No, thank you," I said, feeling a bit shy.

Mia nudged me. "Come on, Sarah. You're single and ready to mingle, remember? Give the guy a chance," she said, giving me a playful smile.

I rolled my eyes, but then smiled. "Okay, okay. I'll dance with him," I said, feeling a bit nervous.

The guy grinned and took my hand, leading me to the dance floor. We danced for a few songs, and I couldn't help but feel a bit self-conscious. But then I started to relax and have fun, and the guy turned out to be a great dancer.

After a while, the song ended, and the guy thanked me for the dance. "You're a great dancer," he said, giving me a smile.

I blushed. "Aww, thanks. You're pretty good yourself," I said, feeling a bit more confident.

Mia came up to us, grinning. "See, I told you it would be fun. You two looked great together," she said, giving me a wink.

I giggled. "Thanks, Mia. I'm glad you talked me into it," I said, feeling grateful for her encouragement.

Mia and I walked up to the bar, and I couldn't help but feel grateful for her company. Her infectious laughter and playful spirit always made me feel better, and I knew I could count on her no matter what.

As we waited for the bartender, Mia leaned in and kissed me on the lips. "You're single, so you don't have a boyfriend who won't let me kiss you. Haha," she said with a grin.

I blushed and giggled, feeling a flutter in my stomach. "You're such a goofball, Mia. But I love you for it," I said, feeling grateful for her friendship.

The bartender came over, and we ordered our drinks. Mia ordered a fruity cocktail, and I ordered a beer. We sipped our drinks and chatted about our day, giggling at each other's silly jokes.

As we talked, I couldn't help but notice how beautiful Mia looked in the dim light of the bar. Her sparkling green eyes and her radiant smile made my heart skip a beat, and I felt a warmth spread through my chest.

Mia noticed me staring and grinned. "What are you looking at, Sarah?" she said, giving me a playful nudge.

I blushed and looked away, feeling embarrassed. "Nothing, just admiring your beauty," I said, feeling my cheeks grow warm.

Mia laughed and leaned in, giving me a hug. "You're too sweet, Sarah. I'm lucky to have you as my friend," she said, and I felt a lump form in my throat.

I hugged her back, feeling grateful for her friendship and the warmth of her embrace.

Mia and I sat at the bar sipping our drinks, enjoying the atmosphere of the dimly lit room. Her phone rang, and she answered it with a bright smile. "Hiya, Izzy! What's up?" she said, her eyes lighting up with happiness.

I couldn't help but feel a little nervous. Israel, Mia's older brother, was picking us up from the bar and taking us both home. I had never met him before, and I wasn't sure what to expect. My heart raced as I watched Mia hang up the phone and turn to me, her smile even brighter than before. "Izzy's here, woohoo! Let's go," she said, grabbing my hand with excitement.

We walked out of the bar and into the cool night air. The stars twinkled above us, and I shivered, feeling a little chilly. Mia wrapped her arm around me, and I felt a wave of warmth and comfort wash over me.

As we walked to the car, I found myself humming the lyrics of "I kissed a girl and I liked it" by Katy Perry, under my breath. I had heard the song on the radio earlier that day, and it had been stuck in my head ever since.

A car pulled up, and Israel got out, a friendly smile on his face. "Hey, sis. Hey, Sarah. Ready to go?" he said, holding the car door open for us.

I climbed into the back seat, feeling a little nervous. Israel seemed nice enough, but I still wasn't sure what to expect. As we drove home, Israel chatted with us, asking us about our night and our plans for the summer. Mia talked animatedly, but I was quieter, feeling a little shy.

As we pulled up to my house, Israel turned to me. "It was so nice meeting you, Sarah. Take care," he said, giving me a friendly smile. I smiled back, feeling grateful for his kindness. "Aww, thanks, Izzy. It was great meeting you too!" I said, feeling giddy and happy.

I climbed out of the car, still humming the catchy tune to myself. As I walked up to my front door, I turned to wave goodbye, feeling grateful for the amazing friends I had in my life.
