Originally, he believed that the kid in front of him was just a toy, he was even prepared to annihilate this Earth completely!

Performing a 360-degree turn, he delivered a powerful roundhouse kick to Cell's neck.

Cell's body crashed heavily into the ground, creating a massive sinkhole.
"Ha...ha!!" Without a moment's pause, Goten unleashed countless energy waves from both hands.

The enormous crater on the ground continued to expand, and mushroom clouds rose high into the sky like towering trees.
Goten knew well that such an attack wouldn't be enough to kill Cell outright, even though he had achieved the form of Super Saiyan 2!
It was still challenging to completely eliminate Cell.
However, he had accomplished his goal!
He hadn't used Ultra Instinct before; his primary objective was to utilize the pressure and imminent danger posed by Cell to break through his own limits and attain Super Saiyan 2.

Cell's body emerged from the ground and leaped up.

After his words faded, he unexpectedly reverted back to his normal form, exiting the Super Saiyan 2 state.
Both Cell and Krillin on the opposite side looked bewildered and perplexed. They couldn't comprehend Goten's actions at all.
Defeating Cell seemed only possible in the Super Saiyan 2 form. Yet now, he had returned to his normal state!
What was this guy attempting to do?
