Ian Slav was almost wearing nothing when he was declared a victor in the battle royale.
With the help of Harry, he had been bestowed with a white tunic to cover his body, to make him presentable for the awarding ceremony.
"As the winner of this banquet's battle royale, I shall grant you three vials of Vitality Pills and another vial of Bone-marrow Cleansing Pill."
Some in the audience were left speechless when they heard the rewards. Ian's team released a gasp as they were astonished at the hefty prizes.
"Moreover, I will gift you a residence in a courtyard within the Chua Estate Complex where you can stay in there for fifty years rent-free."
More gasps were heard while murmurs became louder as the guests continued to speak among themselves after the rewards were announced.
Ian received the storage bracelet after it magically floated in his direction. When he checked the contents, he was dazed when he learned that not only were there four vials of pills but there were also a gauntlet and a platinum-made body armor included.
His eyes returned to Sigmund as he formed a salute with his hands, conveying his gratitude.
Sigmund was pleased that the mage named Ian Slav was worthy to emerge the victor of the battle royale. Though he did not care if the recipients were arrogant, haughty, or indifferent, but his moral compass seemed to favor those who could recognize gratitude when they received it and even extended their appreciation to their bestowers.
He continued by announcing, "And as for the other participants, please come near the staircase."
Kelly Lang and Saiko Nori, after gaining a brief amount of rest for a few minutes, complied in approaching the area as Sigmund requested.
"You will also receive a vial of Vitality Pills."
Both losing participants were surprised to hear of the consolation prize.
"Also, each of you will receive residency in your respective courtyard within my estate, where you can stay there for thirty years rent-free."
The teammates of Kelly and Saiko began to send a round of applause as their way of invigorating their colleagues and also for the handsome rewards granted. They knew that each courtyard was not only for their colleague but could also be a temporary residence where they could stay for their team.
The remaining guests clapped their hands as they lauded the participants of the battle royale. The applause also implied the resounding success of the banquet.
When Kelly and Saiko received their rewards, they were dumbfounded when it was not only a vial of pills in the content of the storage bracelet, but also a few weapons. The storage bracelet was already valuable enough for them as low-level mages who could afford storage rings after they got more rewards from successfully completing various missions.
After the announcement and within the timeframe when the guests were expressing their compliments, Ian, Kelly, and Saiko felt certain heat as the aura of light emanated from their bodies.
Many in the audience noticed the light encompassing the participants as they continued clapping.
When the noise subsided, the three mages felt invigorated as if they were released from certain bondage, and their strength was not only replenished but was even boosted.
"You may check your new stat in the Adventurers Guild," Sigmund spoke to the participants of the battle royale. He then turned his attention to the crowd. "For now, I invite all of you to enjoy the party. We are now serving more juice wines to your heart's content."
Sigmund grinned after voicing the announcement. He then returned to his seat as he awaited the servers to serve juice wines.
Meanwhile, in the area of Lord Rainier's party, the nobleman and his subjects were astounded by witnessing the events that they could not help but feel numb.
"I can't say it's nostalgic but I feel like when we were in the castle of Maribora where the monarchs were having a banquet," Zanjie murmured which did not escape his colleague's notice. They both received more glasses of juice wines after.
"Urgh!!" His colleague was clearly displeased but could not utter coherent words.
"I can't help but have this evaluation of this village. I have been here for many days. I can see the development before my eyes. Is this still a village? It seems like a city already. I can't even say if it's a small-scale or big-scale. The buildings here are even taller than what I have witnessed in many first-class cities we have visited." Zanjie's long and nonchalant remark was not misheard even by the noble superior who was seated at a table before him.
While the guests were busy with their respective businesses as they received more glasses of juice wines, many were oblivious to the recent happening in the mezzanine area, specifically at the table where the village was positioned.
Rafa Libera sensed a surge of energy within him making him uncomfortable. He decided to perform meditation as he attempted to do a breathing exercise while attempting to control the surge of energy by spreading it in other chakras, not only concentrated at the center of the solar plexus.
His wife, Eldora noticed the change in her husband as a flux of energy waves was emitted from his body, making her stunned as she moved from her seat. The other concubines were already seated at a separate table but they still noticed the wave of energy emanating from the village chief.
Concerned, Eldora looked for General Markito Lora, who was closer to their table but she was astounded when a tall, silver-haired young man approached their area.
"Madame, don't worry about your husband. I will assist him in his ascension."
Without touching the village chief, the silver-haired young man extended his hand to reach the backside of the village chief.
"I am Gary, one of the sons of Sigmund Chua." He released a smile as he tried to pacify the concern of the village's first lady.
'Then, I shall send my gratitude for your generosity in assisting my husband." She spoke while sensing Gen. Markito Lora, approaching their table.
"No worries, general. He's helping the village chief in his ascension. I pray no mishap will occur."
Eldora informed the general while she was hoping for a successful ascension.
Ascending to mage level 6 would be a great deal not only to Rafa Libera and his family but also to the whole village.
Markito Lora was astonished when he heard the news. 'Then, when master successfully ascended, it is not far for me to also ascend,' he surreptitiously remarked while his eyes were focused on the man who assisted the village chief.
The general also knew the man with the silver hair. He also happened to know that the youthful man had a pair of penetrating silver eyes, the kind that he initially thought was related to the wolf shapeshifters.
But the village chief's personal guard knew that the man was one of the sons of the powerful merchant. The sons could not also be underestimated.
