As they descended the mountain, the setting sun painted the sky with streaks of orange and pink, casting an ethereal glow over the landscape. The air around them was filled with the hushed whispers of the wind, rustling the leaves and making the tall grass sway.
Shiromi, who had been walking silently beside Ryomaru, piped up. "B, could you... could you sing a rap song?" she requested, her voice just above a whisper.
The towering figure of B let out a hearty laugh, his grin stretching from ear to ear. "A rap, eh? Now, that's what I'm talkin' about!" he exclaimed, slapping his thigh. His enthusiasm was infectious, prompting giggles from the three girls and a grin from Ryomaru.
B then turned towards Ryomaru, a playful twinkle in his eye. "Ready to freestyle, Ryo?"
Ryomaru's ice-blue eyes glinted with mischief. He crossed his arms over his chest, his stance mirroring B's. "Bring it on," he challenged, earning chuckles from the girls.
B responded with a grin before he began to beatbox, creating a rhythm that echoed through the forest. He swayed his body with the rhythm, his tattoos rippling as he moved.
"Beware, beware, the little Ryo's here!" B rapped, pointing at Ryomaru. "Three little hearts he's already stole. Look at 'em blush, oh dear, oh dear!"
Ryomaru couldn't help but laugh at B's lyrics, his amusement mirrored in the girls' giggles. Karui and Tatsuki tried to hide their embarrassment behind their hands, their cheeks tinting a bright red. Shiromi, on the other hand, simply smiled shyly, her gaze glued to Ryomaru.
Ryomaru raised his hand, calling for a pause. He let out a chuckle before he answered, his tone cheeky, "B, my friend, my pal, my mentor, I do say, my handsomeness isn't my fault in any way!"
His response was met with laughter, even B chuckling at his clever comeback. The girls' laughter rang out, bright and clear, their earlier embarrassment forgotten in their shared amusement.
Karui's laughter was loud and unrestrained, a perfect reflection of her fiery personality. Tatsuki's giggles were softer, her usually aloof demeanor giving way to pure delight. Shiromi, the quietest of the three, had a gentle laugh that resonated with her calm and nurturing nature.
B clapped Ryomaru on the shoulder, a wide grin on his face. "Well played, Ryo, well played," he conceded, shaking his head in amusement. "Our little charmer here, ladies, always has a witty reply."
Karui rolled her eyes at B's comment, though she was fighting back a grin. Tatsuki just chuckled, her arms folded across her chest. Shiromi, however, simply nodded in agreement, her eyes sparkling with unspoken admiration.
Ryomaru shot them a playful wink, making the girls blush once again. He looked at B, a smirk tugging at the corners of his mouth. "Your turn, B," he challenged, raising a brow in anticipation.
"Well, ain't this a challenge," B responded, tapping his chin in mock contemplation. "Alright, then. Let's see if I can whip up something."
Clearing his throat, he began another rhythm with his voice, the pulsating beats reverberating through the quiet mountain air. The girls watched in anticipation, even Ryomaru seeming curious about what B would come up with this time.
"Ryo, Ryo, the little heart-stealer, girls swooning from his every glance," B rapped, his deep voice rich with amusement. "He's got the charm, the wit, the zeal, oh, he's got them in a trance!"
The girls erupted into giggles, their earlier blushes replaced with broad smiles. Ryomaru, on the other hand, shook his head, chuckling at B's teasing lyrics.
"That's not fair, B!" he protested, his tone light. "You're making it sound like I'm some sort of villain."
B laughed heartily at Ryomaru's reaction. "A villain? Nah," he countered, his grin mischievous. "Just a little charmer with too many admirers."
The air filled with laughter again, the jovial atmosphere infecting everyone. Ryomaru shook his head, unable to hold back a grin.
"I can't help it if I'm likable," he retorted, his ice-blue eyes sparkling with mirth.
Karui, the fiery girl, huffed, crossing her arms over her chest. "Yeah, yeah, keep telling yourself that, Ryo," she countered, trying to mask her giggles. Yet, her eyes told a different story - there was a teasing sparkle in them, betraying her amusement.
Shiromi, the gentle and caring one, glanced up at Ryomaru, her eyes softening with fondness. "Ryo's just being Ryo," she murmured, her voice barely above a whisper. Yet, it carried in the quiet mountain air, reaching the ears of her companions.
Tatsuki, the seemingly aloof girl, nodded in agreement, a rare smile adorning her lips. "That's true," she agreed, her gaze fixed on Ryomaru. "Ryo's just... Ryo."
A moment of silence followed, filled only by the rustling of the leaves in the breeze. It was as if their shared admiration for Ryomaru hung in the air, a silent testament to their innocent, budding feelings.
"Aw, shucks, guys," Ryomaru said, rubbing the back of his neck in an attempt to hide his blushing cheeks. "You're making me blush."
As the sun began its descent, B and Ryomaru started their journey home, dropping the girls off at their respective houses along the way. Each goodbye was met with a bashful wave, a timid smile, and a promise to meet again. It was the innocence of their age, the naivety of their hearts, that made these moments so precious and fleeting.
Once they'd dropped off the last girl, Tatsuki, they continued their walk towards Ryomaru's home. The silence between them was comfortable, filled with the faint echoes of the day's laughter and the rustling of leaves beneath their feet. The vibrant hues of twilight painted the sky, adding an ethereal charm to the world around them.
B was the first to break the silence, his deep voice slicing through the tranquility of the evening. "So, Ryo," he began, his eyes on the path ahead, "how was your first day at the academy?"
The question made Ryomaru glance up at him, his ice-blue eyes reflecting the fading light of the day. He took a moment to gather his thoughts, to weave his experiences into a narrative.
"The academy was... different than what I expected," he started, his voice thoughtful. "I mean, I knew we were going to learn about the basics of chakra, history, and all. But the depth of the knowledge... it's fascinating."
B nodded, an approving smile playing on his lips. "That's the spirit, Ryo," he praised. "A true shinobi never stops learning."
