Max sat quietly on the table eating without any remarks as a huge bump was on his head.

Amelia had hit him but Damon pretended to be oblivious to it, graciously cutting his steak open.

After many years of trial and error it was then that Max realized that even if Amelia was trying to kill him, his dear brother Damon, would gladly tie him up and deliver him to his wife's footstep for slaughter.
