As they reached the school with their own little group while chatting about nothing in particular. Yamato felt like it was another normal day in his life. Except for the singular fact that both Koyuki and Momoyo were especially clingy today. He could not for the life of him figure out why. Although he has some ideas. He didn't wan't to be presumptuous.
As they were about to reach the classroom Cap't pulled the boys aside. "Say Yamato, I heard a nice tidbit as we're walking here. Is it true were having a transfer student?" He said with glimmering eyes. The three nodded at his words, "Yeap. They're arriving next week." Cap't grinned, "I got a nice idea. You boys want to make some money?"
Yamato smiled as he had an inkling on what he's about to suggest, "Shoot." Cap't nodded his head, "How about we establish a bet on the gender of the Transfer student?" Gakuto and Moro smiled, "Just in time! I wanted to buy a new brand of protien shake!" Gakuto said. Moro on the other hand nodded his head, "Capcom's releasing a new street fighter I can't wait to play Juri!" He said making Yamato stop dead on his tracks.
"I'll handle the logistics. By the end of lunch I'll already have the information I need." He then stared at Moro, "I'm sorry Moro, can you run that by me one more time?" Moro opened his eyes, "Really? I thought you're more of a Darkstalkers fan?"
Yamato shrugged his shoulders, "I got curious. Can you show me the new characters?" Moro nodded his head enthusiastically as he described Juri. He even pulled out an image and gameplay trailer. Yamato furrowed his brows, "Hmm... Do you know about a character named Yuzuriha? What about Tokisaki Kurumi?"
Gakuto raised his eyebrows, "This is rare for Yamato to be interested about this." Moro laughed, "Isn't that fine? We could all play it together once we get the money from the betting!" Capt shrugged, "Ain't that fine? We could even set up a Kazama Family Tournament. Who ever wins gets the bet winnings!"
Moro then pondered "I'm not sure about Yuzuriha, but Kurumi is a new character from Date A Live. A new lightnovel that has been published in recent years." He said as he showed Yamato an image of her.
Yamato frowned, "Do you think Suguru knows about Yuzuriha?" Moro shrugged his shoulders, "We could only ask." He said as Yamato nodded his head, "So why're you so interested in them so suddenly?" Yamato shrugged his shoulders, "An aquaintance of mine mentioned their names."
Gakuto immediately grabbed his shoulders, "That better not be a girl." Yamato sighed, "Would you relax? I met them on the net. I'm just building connections." Moro nodded his head, "Well, we won't get your info standing around. Lets go to class."
As they arrived a little earlier than normal most people haven't arrived yet. The only ones inside we're Kazuko, Miyako, Chika, Mayo, and Suguru. "Lucky! Suguru! Do you know of a character named Yuzuriha?" Suguru tilted his head on the side, "There's too many to name. Got any more specifics?" Yamato then brought out his phone and backread the messages, "What about Blade of Godspeed?"
"OH!" Moro and Suguru said at the same time. "It's from the upcoming game Undernight! The developers also made Melty Blood!" Suguru and Moro went and ranted about their excitement as they told Yamato all about her. Along with her gameplay trailer.
Miyako was staring at Kazuko with a worried expression. Although she was smiling as she was talking with her other classmates she could sense something was off. She looked at Yamato and it looked like she was busy so she approached them instead.
Moro then noticed Yamatos phone and his eyes gleamed, "Wait! Is that a now smartphone model!? How'd you get your hands on those?" He asked a question brimming with curiousity. Yamato smiled wryly and handed Moro his phone. "My father sent it to me. He said I should test out the prototype and tell him whether the company is worth investing or not." Moro nodded his head as he tinkered with the phone. "This is pretty advanced man." He said. Suguro also looked at it and smiled, "The gacha games you could play is innumerable." Yamato shrugged you guys can tinker with it, Imma go greet the others." The two waved their hands as Yamato went towards Miyako and Kazuko.
As he approached them he sensed that Kazuko was less energetic today. "Good Morning guys. It's rare to see you this early in the classroom, Miyako" She smiled at him and put her hands on her cheek, "I need to be a proper dutiful wife. I cannot embarass you my husband so I socialized." She said, Shocking Yamato down to his very core.
"Yeah! Naocchi! Shiinacchi greeted me this morning! It was such a shock, but a welcome one!" Chika said as she cheerfully recounted their earlier encounter. Miyako puffed up her chest in pride. Yamato still in shock put his hand on her forehead, "OH!? You're finally making a move?" Miyako said as she blushed. However she recieved a flick on her forehead, "It's good that you're socializing." He said as he patted her afterwards.
"OHHHH!!! My work is paying off!" She said while holding both her cheeks. Kazuko smiled wryly at their excchange. She then stared at Yamato with a red face and sheepishly smiled, "Good Morning Yamato!" Yamato furrowed his brows and stared at her smile that didn't reach her eyes. He patted her head. "Alright I'll leave you guys to it."
Miyako then followed him abit, "Yamato, can you talk to wanko later?" Yamato smiled at her, "Yeah, leave it to me." Miyako nodded her head as she returned to Kazuko and Co. Gakuto then sat on his seat along with Cap't. "Oi! Tactician. We'll leave her to your care." Gakuto said as he stared at Kazuko. Cap't scratched his head, "Before the day ends you better cheer her up Tactician."
Yamato chuckled at their words, "Alright, Alright... I got the memo." As they were chatting the bell rang signalling the start of class. As one by one the other students arrived.
