CHAPTER 21: AN UNEXPECTED FIGHT PT 2
The Next day
Noctis was sitting at his side of the arena with his gear on. Faye was standing next to him. Noctis sighed as Faye asked, "Are you nervous."
Noctis shook his head "No more like I want to get this over with."
Faye rolled her eyes "Well be careful I never saw the guy who my dad appointed me to marry but I have heard he is strong."
Noctis shrugged "How strong can he be?"
A horn then blared signaling Noctis that the fight was about to begin. Noctis got up as Faye quickly moved his mask and kissed him "You better win."
Noctis smirked as he put his mask back on "Want me that bad, eh?"
Faye blushed as she nodded. Noctis eyes went wide as he was a little shocked by her boldness. He ruffled her hair "Come on it's me. Of course, I'm going to win."
Faye smiled "You better. I have to run back to my parents as I need to be up at the royalty booth with them."
Noctis nodded as he then watched her run off.
In the arena a magic device was being used to broadcast to the whole arena.
The announcer coughed "Now elves of all ages it is the moment you have all been waiting for. It is time to see who will take the hand of our princess."
The crowd started to cheer as Faye stepped forward and revealed herself to the crowd. She somehow was already in completely different attire.

She even had the time to put flowers in her hair. The crowd started to cheer even louder when she revealed herself.
The announcer then said "This will be a one v one match where the winner either needs to make the opponent submit to defeat or a simple knockout. Killing is permitted however. Now let's meet our two warriors."
"On the right (Noctis started to walk out) we have Noctis Prince an elf that helped the princess on her adventures. They fell in love over time. He rocks an axe as well as some interesting magic that is unknown to us. A Katana on his side as well. A dagger. A few throwing knives (the announcer turned to his information guy) What does that guy have a whole arsenal? It is once again Noctis Prince."
Noctis started to walk more towards the middle as cheers started to erupt and many of the elves were amazed at his presence.
The announcer then pointed towards the left "On the left side (the other elf started to walk forward) we have the elf that his highness had appointed himself. A skilled sneaky user. Has been an adventurer for quite some time. Mineta Dawnster."
Noctis paused for a moment as he thought 'That name sounds familiar?'
Noctis then looked ahead of himself as he started to try and get a clear view of the person in front of him.
When Noctis noticed who he was as a light went up in his head. Noctis started to die laughing. Many of the audience became confused.
Noctis started to stifle his laugh "This will be easier than I thought."
Mineta walked in front of him "Don't think you can just steal my wife. I'm going to crush you that way no one tries after."
Noctis raised an eyebrow "Your wife?"
Mineta had a smug face "Yeah. Just so you know I'm a silver ranked adventurer. Don't worry I will take it easy on you though you are a peasant after all."
Noctis started to chuckle again as he pointed at himself "Do you not remember me Mineta?"
Mineta scoffed "Why would I remember trash like.... You."
His eyes went wide as he remembered that Noctis stopped him from ranking up. He immediately became angry as he thought 'First he stops my rank up and then he tries to steal my woman. He needs to die.'
Mineta frowned "Trying to take my woman Noctis."
Noctis smiled as he bit down on his lip really hard "Your woman?"
Mineta smirked "Of course. She's mine to do what I want with."
Noctis repeated "To do what you want with?"
Mineta smirked "After I have you groveling at my feet to spare you. I will happily oblige after you watch me have my way with her."
Noctis was shaking in rage. Faye who was watching from the top looked down "Father, I really hope you weren't too attached to that shorty you wanted me to marry."
Elegast crossed his arms "Why's that?"
Faye smiled "I don't know what he said to Noctis, but he is definitely going to die."
Noctis grabbed a throwing knife as he threw it towards the announcer. He then yelled "Start the match already."
Everyone in the arena shivered it was a cold almost feral yell that caught a lot of people off guard including Elegast who just looked at his daughter Faye who seemed to nod at the response.
The announcer trembled as he yelled "Let's get ready to rumble!!!!"
Noctis watched as Mineta started to charge at him. He looked over with a bored expression. Mineta fought with two daggers.
Noctis side stepped each slash as Mineta kept swinging. He watched as Mineta got more and more annoyed and how his attacks got sloppier and sloppier.
Noctis sighed. He then jumped back and pulled out a throwing knife. He threw it at Mineta without even his full strength as it nailed him in the eye. His right eye was gone.
Noctis then quickly ran up as Mineta was screaming with his knees on the floor and his daggers dropped as he pulled the knife out of his eye socket.
He then watched as he pulled out his own eye. Mineta became extremely angry as he then looked up above him. The last thing he saw was Noctis swinging his axe down. He then watched as he saw his own body fall backwards.
Noctis had spectated his head from his body. There was a moment of silence as the crowd was in shock. No one had expected such an uneven fight.
However, after a moment when everything settled the crowd could hear one girl cheering. They all looked up to see it was the Princess Faye who was the one celebrating. This seemed to cause a chain reaction as everyone started to cheer.
The announcer then announced "There you have it Noctis Prince is the champion. He now has the right to take our princesses hand in marriage."
This got a slight grumble from Elegast as he sighed and said, "At least he is not weak."
This caused Tari to giggle "He reminds me of you when you were young."
Elegast became shocked "What impossible."
Tari waved her hand "Oh please you fought tooth and nail for me back in the day."
Elegast smirked "I would do it again to."
Faye rolled her eyes "I will go meet him down there now."
Faye ran down in her dress as she made it on the arena floor to see Noctis still waving to the crowd and celebrating. Faye took the opportunity to sneak up behind him.
She then tapped his shoulder. Noctis was confused but when he turned around, he was greeted by a pair of lips. His eyes widened in shock as he saw it was Faye. He then closed his eyes as they both enjoyed the kiss. They wrapped their arms around each other.
Once the kiss broke, they both leaned back a bit but still had their arms around each other. Noctis smirked "I guess I'm not just a Prince in name now."
Faye giggled "No I suppose not."
They then both turned as they heard a loud impact. When the dust cleared from it, they saw Elegast looking unhappy.
