บท 1018: Helios’ Challenge

Helios' level could not compare to any of the guards, but he was brave and confident, and for a moment it made the guards pause—forcing them to second-guess their next step.

Sahara's eyes glistened, but her hope was doused with cold water when she remembered this guy had a lower level than her!

She held his arm, and it felt warm but she didn't give herself time to appreciate it. "Go," she said. "Go away from here!" 

However, instead of leaving, he turned to face her. Her heart skipped a beat when their eyes met, and she couldn't say anything for a few moments after that.

He smiled, leaning down, and his mouth parted to tell her words that'd touch her heart. "I'll guard you with my life this time."

Her eyes widened. "W-What—" 

He gently pried her hands away from his arms, standing securely in front of her. 

Sahara could only watch as he stood firm even as the guards—almost thrice his level—approached him.
