บท 157: Fuck That Shit
"Fuck that shit," I growled, looking at Da'kea. He appeared to be sitting in some type of dark room with only a single bed. I shook my head, pushing aside his evident lack of decorating skills to the issue at hand. "I am not going to stand in front of all those guys and let them smell me."
"It wouldn't be like that," said Da'kea in an assuring manner, but that managed to piss me off that much more.
"And what would it be like?" I demanded, crossing my arms in front of me. I didn't have my armor on; Ye'tab, being the absolute genius that he was, got the environmental controls working, so I was no longer in danger of freezing to death.

Devilbesideyou666 So, I love paranormal romance with destined mates and all that stuff... like love, love. Like you come across this one person randomly, and all of a sudden, you know that they are the only one for you and vice versa. In my head, it takes all the stress and drama out of a relationship.
But me, being me, can't actually picture that happening. That is how this relationship between Mei Xing and her guys are. They are absolutely convinced that she is the only one for them in the entire universe. The key to their happiness is in her hands...
And she is just like... that's nice, because I don't necessarily feel that same way. That is why she is so laid back. She understands that chemically/genetically, they cannot be without anyone but her... so she accepts them. But that doesn't mean that she is just going to roll over as a result.
I read a line in a book that went something like... "You know how you just had a connection to your partner? You knew without a doubt that they were the one for you, and that gave you a sense of security? My men don't have that security, so they do everything that they can to make me so happy I never want to leave."
That is the relationship that I want my FL to have with her guys.
