บท 149: Monster vs Monster

"Got it!" Ben thought with a wide smile on his face, but his smile froze the next second he noticed something unordinary. Adrenaline rushed in him as he tried to pull his claw back, but by that time, an ice spear had already pierced past through his body, leaving a football-sized hole in him. 

[ HP: 40/150; BE: 000/100; MP: 1/63] 

"Cough!" Ben coughed out blood as he felt a blunt pain coming from his abdomen. His hands instinctively reached there to touch his stomach, which was now a big hole. 

[Mental barrier level 1 activated.] 

'That monster...froze the water present on its eye to protect itself," Ben thought, realizing that the monster was ready to launch yet another attack. 

Fear engulfed him and a sense of urgency felt in his body; this was the same experience, the same he felt while fighting the spider and the bird, running away from the devil, and the same when he fought the werewolf.
