A delicate roar escaped Seina's lips, a blinding light suffusing her being as the Awakening Coliseum shook violently. The clouds rumbled and rolled, their thunderous lightning akin to the roar of Dragons.
The black hair on Seina's head fell off before regrowing. However, this time, it was a blinding white that nearly blinded all that was within the Coliseum. Her purple eyes changed, becoming orbs of radiant gold that wafted wisps of a golden colored smoke.
Osric's eyes widened. Just by the momentum at which the Heavens reacted, there was no doubt about it. This… was a Perfect Awakening!
Awakenings came in different types, and depending on one's Talents, one could trigger a Fleeting Awakening for the lowest of talents, or invoke a Perfect Awakening like Seina's.
Talents came in different Grades. Normal Grade, Black Grade, Terrestrial Grade, Sky Grade and Divine Grade. Of course, this didn't mean Talents were the only concepts graded that way. But, that was matter for a later time.
Someone with Normal Grade Talents or Black Grade Talents could only trigger a Fleeting Awakening. This type of Awakening lacked any momentum, and the Heavens wouldn't even deign to descend for more than few minutes. As such, it was just that… fleeting.
A step above that, which was the Terrestrial Grade. This was where the Heavens began to take them seriously, hence anyone whose talents are graded as Terrestrial, would invoke a True Awakening.
The momentum of this sort of Awakening could last hours.
A step above even that came those with Sky Grade Talents. At this point, even the Heavens had to acknowledge their existence. With their Talents alone, they could make the Heavens react fiercely, and hence, invoke what was known as a Fierce Awakening.
The presence of the Heavens could last for weeks on end. This was the importance they placed on such people.
However, even that paled extremely to the greatest Awakening in the Martial Verse. It was a Awakening so momentous, the Heavens' reaction becomes so fierce the very foundation of a Realm trembles. This was a type of Awakening only befitting of those born with at least two Divine Grade Talents. This was an Awakening so perfect it was coined a Perfect Awakening!
At that very moment, a pillar of holy light descended from the dark clouds, its light so bright the darkness seems to recede for a moment, lighting the whole Divine World with incomparable might.
This was Heavens' Blessing!
The Heavens' Blessing that came with a True Awakening trumped that of a Fleeting Awakening. The Heavens' Blessing that came with a Fierce Awakening trumped that of a True Awakening.
The Heavens' Blessing that came with a Perfect Awakening, however, trumped all!
The pillar of holy light descended onto Seina, bathing her in its golden radiance. It sank into her being, penetrating it with unmatched fluidness, as it got to the first of the Talents.
There are six facets of Talent that determined the prowess of a cultivator. First, was the Dantian. It was the most important part of a cultivator's Talents. Without it, it was absolutely impossible to cultivate.
Second, came the Meridians. It was the second most important part of these Six Facets. Without it, it was just as impossible to cultivate. However, unlike Dantians, it could be restored even when crippled.
Third, was the Body. Although, believed to be less important than the rest, it still plays a vital role in the prowess of a cultivator.
Fourth, came the Soul. The speed at which one cultivates the Soul Path depends greatly on the Soul Talent of a cultivator. The Soul was a vital part of a cultivator. Without a doubt, those with a Soul Talent, even at the lowest Normal Grade, would always be stronger than those without.
The fifth one was Bloodline. Without a doubt, those who deem themselves large enough to be called an organization in the Martial Verse, would have a uniqueness that differentiated them from others. This uniqueness came in form of Bloodlines. Unlike the other Facets, Bloodlines depended greatly on one's background.
A cultivator from a Mortal Clan would always have his Bloodline capped at the Normal, Black and Terrestrial Grades. In this vein, a cultivator from an Immortal Clan would have a Sky Grade Bloodline. The same went for the Divine Clans with Divine Grade Bloodlines.
The last Facet, however, was an enigmatic existence. Sometimes, it wasn't even considered a Talent. However, because it needed a cultivator's comprehensive capabilities, which in its own way, was a Talent, it was considered as such.
It was the only one of the Six that didn't need Heavens' Blessing to awaken, but the comprehension of cultivators themselves.
And each of these Talents, even ones at the Normal Grades, manifest themselves as though they wouldn't be satisfied until they are shown reverence.
Hence, it was no surprise that, when Seina's Dantian whined to life, a cascade of heavenly bodies descended upon the entire Fahren Clan territory, stretching more than a billion square meter.
However, what came as a surprise was the appearance of a wizened old man. He floated in the air, staring at Seina with wide eyes. Despite his wizened appearance, his hair was still a lustrous black and his violet eyes shone with incomparable vitality.
The aura this old man radiated was palpable, threatening to send the whole of the Dark Edge Realm into oblivion. And this, made most forgot about Seina's awakening, due to the shock that arose with the arrival of this old man.
And, how could they not be shocked? While it was true that Divines were mighty, it really wasn't up to the point they could threaten the whole of the Dark Edge Realm. And yet, this old man gave them the feeling that, should he deem it fit, he could destroy the whole of the Realm with ease.
But what they didn't know was that they were absolutely correct, and this was because, this old man was none other than one of the Ancestors of the Fahren Clan! An unfathomable existence that wouldn't step out unless absolutely necessary!
And yet, here he was, staring at a fourteen years old girl who was still undergoing her awakening.
At that moment, though, his shock suddenly receded before a boisterous laughter resounded from him. It was so forceful and unbridled, it shook the very foundation of the Dark Edge Realm.
Across the whole Realm, several old monsters suddenly jolted awake, their souls trembling as they listened on to the laughter. But, unlike those at the Awakening Coliseum, their senses picked up on the might laden underneath the casual laughter. This wasn't just normal senses, but the senses of those with cultivations extremely deep into the Divine realm.
It was as clear as day to them, that, whoever owned that laughter, they weren't to be trifled with.
