"Now what?" Steffan asked warily as he saw her approaching him.

Lauren's eyes held a challenging glint as she locked gaze with Steffan. "Don't you want to know how you used to welcome me?"

Sarah gasped and called out softly to Lauren. "Lauren, dear."

"Relax mom, I know what I'm doing," Lauren said without breaking eye contact with Steffan.

Sarah turned to her husband for his opinion but he just waved, "Let the girl be, Sarah."

Everyone watched silently as Lauren reached out her hand and pulled Steffan up from his seat.

"How old are you, Doctor Steffan Rosse?" She suddenly asked throwing everyone into confusion, including Steffan whose eyes instantly narrowed to slits

At Steffan's silence, Lauren smirked. "May I remind you that you are no longer twenty eight but thirty four?"
