"What have you done to yourself?" Shawn asked, taking his seat opposite Steffan. "It's so tiresome falling in love, I must say."

He waved his hand and the waiter arrived, after placing his order, he focused back on his friend.

"Have you called her to find out what happened?"

Steffan just stared at Shawn's handsome face. There was no way he was going to subject himself to another ridicule by telling Shawn that he didn't even have her number.

"What's the need? If she wanted to come, she would have been here," he smirked and poured the entire drink down his throat.

"Are you giving up so soon and that easily?" Shawn taunted.

Once again, he studied his friend for a long time. "Do you want me to continue to persevere?"

"Why not if you truly love her." Shawn didn't suspect anything. He just explained Steffan's behavior to be the result of being heartbroken. "Except you were just infatuated with her beauty."
