Saturday.

I wake to familiar stabbing pains in my lower abdomen. I groan in defeat. I had made plans to go shopping with my sister today, then the two of us would go back home and I would cook a big meal. Just like we did before the De Santis snatched me away. 

Except this time, I can afford to buy better-quality ingredients. I had also planned to buy more makeup products for Elena. The brand she likes is so expensive that I can usually only afford to buy her one tube of lipstick for her birthday. Most of the time, she buys the cheapest she can find. But not this time. With the De Santis crushing me with money and my salary at Crimson's, I can buy a set of everything Elena likes along with a dozen expensive dresses and shoes without leaving a dent in my purse. She will need all these things for her pageant and I can't wait to see the smile on her face when she gets everything she likes in one purchase.
