Huge lances of ice rained down on the goblin fortress, making them panic as screams echoed from goblins killed by icy missiles that crashed against the hard fortifications, shattering but dealing heavy damage against goblin flesh due to their sharp points and freezing temperatures.
Hobgoblins roared and charged outside, only to witness dozens of hares falling from above holding spears and shields landing on the poor goblins, crushing them with their thick legs filled with thick, powerful muscles, using them to break their falls from the trees before lunging forward.
Following this wave, arrows fired from above pierced hobgoblins, causing them to fall forwards with arrows pincushioning them as hares moved around the battlefield like ghosts, using the trees to jump between vantage points, shooting volleys of icy darts covered in a chilly aura that froze wounds and arrows that tore apart their flesh causing hobgoblins to slow down.
I could have split this into two 1300-word chapters...
but if I had the cliffhanger, some of you might have been devastated at the cut-off... And killed me!
So... I kept it one large chapter.
