[Evaine POV]

'Today I saw the endless potential of a student who irritates me...' She thought to herself, reading a book outside Merlin's office. Today she was here to petition to lessen the punishment of Lancelot from suspension and the chance of being expelled to a more useful one for the empire.

A mandatory Competition pledge.

This meant Lancelot would have to participate in ALL Avalon and the world competitions. Otherwise, he would be expelled and likely be chased down by the supporters of Arthur, who now had an unsightly scar on his face.

Evaine began to chuckle, thinking about the scene where her conflict with the strange Lord Lancelot began.

[Flashback]

She looked stern, but her eyes filled with a gentle and affectionate light, the corners of her lips smiling before she stopped scolding him.

"Congratulations, you were amazing in the trial. I look forward to seeing your swordsmanship improve."
