"Good night, Sir. Is there anything I can help you with?"
Edna was ready to perform her master's unreasonable tasks that night. She looked around the room. It was still spotlessly clean, and not a single dust could be seen. No water was spilled, no biscuit crumbs were left behind, and all the books were in perfect order. There were no mosquitoes or cobwebs either.
Edna thought hard about what tasks she might do.
"Come here and sit." Maximilian asked Edna to sit on the edge of his bed.
Edna frowned in confusion. She wasn't sure of what her master asked for.
Sensing Edna still not moving, Maximilian opened his eyes and looked towards the door. The girl was still standing in her place.
"What are you doing there? Didn't you hear what I ordered just now?" Maximillian asked, annoyed.
Edna rushed over. She drew closer to where her master had asked her, but she didn't sit on the edge of the bed.
"Read me the continuation of this book. I'm tired," the man ordered casually.
