บท 4: An Invitation to a Journey

Ever since I transmigrated to this world, I've been living alone on an isolated island. My days were filled with rigorous training, and nights were for resting and pondering my existence in this world. As the months passed, my skills had improved, but something was missing. It was then I realized that in this world dominated by power, one needed to have more than just strength - one needed resources, allies, and most importantly, knowledge. And for that, I needed to make money. In this world, money was as crucial as strength.

Bounty hunting – it was the only viable option. It would provide the necessary funds to sustain in this world, and it would also give me opportunities to test my powers. However, first, I needed to know where I was. That's when I discovered that my island was a part of the West Blue, not too far from an island named Ohara. Ohara... the name stirred something within me. It was the island of knowledge, filled with archaeologists and historians.

Setting sail towards Ohara, I marveled at the sight of the island as I approached it. The island had a serene aura to it, a stark contrast to the chaos and destruction it had once faced. The tranquility of the island was soothing, making me feel strangely at home.

As I walked around the island, I stumbled upon a young woman. Her long blonde hair flowed freely under a purple cap, and she wore a coat that matched her hat, with a light blue shirt underneath. She seemed deep in thought, her gaze distant and her expression serious. Intrigued, I approached her.

"Excuse me," I began, hoping to pique her interest. "You seem to be lost in thought. Something bothering you?" She seemed taken aback by my question, but then a smile formed on her lips.

"I'm Gram," she introduced herself, her gaze curious. "I'm an archaeologist here in Ohara. And you are?"

"Theo," I replied, extending a hand toward her.

Our conversation was long and filled with exchanges about our dreams and passions. I learned more about Gram - her love for archaeology, her thirst for knowledge, and her curiosity about the world beyond Ohara. In return, I shared my dream - to explore the world, to learn its secrets, and most importantly, to seek the truth behind the Void Century.

A few days later, I found myself in Ohara's library, surrounded by countless books. I couldn't resist the allure of knowledge, and so I plunged myself into studying, hoping to learn the ancient language - the language of the Poneglyphs.

My persistence caught the attention of the elders of Ohara. They questioned my motives, and I responded with sincerity. I explained my dreams, my aspirations, my thirst for knowledge about the Void Century. To my surprise, they didn't dismiss me. Instead, they seemed intrigued.

"Theo," one of the elders began. "Your ambition is commendable. However, the language of the Poneglyphs is not something to be taken lightly. It holds secrets, truths that could alter the course of this world. Do you understand the responsibility that comes with such knowledge?"

"I do," I replied, my determination unwavering. "And I'm ready to shoulder that responsibility."

The elders were silent after I finished speaking. I could feel my heart pounding in my chest as they exchanged glances, their expressions inscrutable. After what felt like an eternity, the eldest of them all, a woman with grey hair and eyes full of wisdom, cleared her throat.

"We are all aware of Gram's aspirations," she began, her gaze steady. "She, too, harbors a desire to learn about the Poneglyphs, to uncover the secrets of the Void Century. She's been yearning to venture out and explore the world, just like you."

There was a pause, and then she continued, "Would you allow her to accompany you on your journey?"

I was taken aback, not by the request, but by the sincerity behind it. I turned to look at Gram, and our eyes met. In her eyes, I could see a spark, a desire to venture beyond the confines of Ohara, to explore the unknown. I could see a reflection of my own dreams.

I extended my hand towards her, a grin spreading on my face. "Gram, would you like to embark on this journey with me?"

She blinked, taken aback. And then, her eyes lit up, her face breaking into a grin that mirrored my own. She took my hand, nodding fervently. "Yes," she said, her voice steady. "Yes, I'd love to."

With the blessings of the elders and a newfound companion by my side, I walked towards the shore, towards my ship – the Silver Wave. As we approached the ship, I could see Gram's eyes widen, her gaze moving over the ship, taking in every detail.

"This...this is your ship?" she asked, awe evident in her voice.

I couldn't help but chuckle. "Yes, this is the Silver Wave. But it's not your ordinary ship," I said, a plan forming in my head. "You see, she ate a Devil Fruit."

Her eyes widened, looking at me incredulously. "A Devil Fruit? But those are..."

"Rare? Yes, they are," I nodded, continuing the fabricated tale. "She ate the Upgrade-Upgrade No Mi. It's a rare Paramecia-type Devil Fruit that allows her to evolve and get stronger as I do."

Her curiosity piqued, she asked, "But how can a ship eat a Devil Fruit?"

"I found the fruit during one of my travels and was holding it while I was on the ship. Then a sudden storm came. The ship was rocked violently by the waves, and I ended up dropping the fruit. It rolled and somehow ended up in the ship's mouth-like figurehead. And the rest, as they say, is history," I explained, hoping she bought my story.

It seemed to work. "That's... incredible!" she exclaimed, looking at the ship with renewed awe.

Nodding, I decided to give her a tour. "Let's take a look inside."

As we embarked on the ship, I showed her the main deck first – open and spacious, perfect for training or just enjoying the sea breeze. Then came the navigation room – modestly sized, with a chart table and a shelf full of various sea charts. Next, I showed her the kitchen – small but functional, stocked with essential supplies.

"The living quarters are below deck," I continued, leading her down a narrow staircase. "It's not luxury, but it's comfortable. There are two rooms, one for each of us."

Lastly, I showed her the storage room. "It's where we keep our supplies, food, and any other thing we might need during our journey."

As we finished the tour, I could see her eyes shimmering with excitement. This was it. The start of our adventure. We were two individuals, brought together by our shared dreams, sailing on a ship with a will of its own.

Our journey was about to begin truly.
