"GO GO GO!" Serafall urged, prompting Issei to start the engine and ride off. They had a wild and fast journey through town before reaching the mall. Issei attracted quite a few stares from the crowd as he parked his motorcycle.
Once they got off, Serafall eagerly linked her arm with his and practically dragged him into the mall. Their unconventional appearance drew the attention of many onlookers as they made their way through the bustling crowds inside.
Issei couldn't help but feel a sense of embarrassment as he walked alongside the beautiful Serafall, dressed in her magical girl cosplay. However, given Serafall's allure, it was understandable that people took notice.
Several girls gasped and whispered among themselves, "Oh my gosh! She's so cute! What is she doing with someone like him?"
"Are they a couple?!" another girl exclaimed, her excitement resembling that of seeing famous celebrities.
"Why would such a hot guy be with a weirdo like her?" one girl wondered, clearly confused.
At that moment, Issei realized that everyone around them assumed Serafall was his girlfriend.
"She's adorable! I want to take a picture with her!" a guy excitedly expressed to his friends.
"No way, dude. Look at that intimidating guy with her," one of his friends replied, dismissing the idea.
"You think so? I'll show that guy who's boss," the overly confident guy declared before boldly stepping in front of Issei and Serafall.
"Hey babe, you look amazing in that outfit! Mind if I take a picture?" he asked loudly.
Serafall happily posed and flashed a peace sign, "Sure, go ahead and take one of us!"
"Nah, sweetheart, I actually meant a picture of just you and me, if you catch my drift," he replied, attempting to push Issei aside.
Without hesitation, Issei pushed the guy back, exerting more force than intended. The guy went flying and crashed through the glass display of a nearby store.
"Whoa, did you see that? That guy just assaulted me! Get him!" one of the guy's friends shouted, rallying the others to charge at Issei.
With ease, the delinquent dragon evaded the attacker's swing and swiftly tripped him. In a split second, Issei stomped on the downed man's leg, causing him to cry out in pain.
The surrounding crowd looked on, horrified by the sudden display of violence. The first guy, who had recovered from his unexpected trip, pointed at Issei, his voice trembling, "That guy attacked me! Someone call the police!"
"Hey, man, I think he's with the Yakuza. Look at his jacket!" another friend pointed out, sounding genuinely concerned.
Fear instantly replaced the guy's bravado as he backed away, "I don't want any trouble, man. I'm sorry!"
Issei let out a heavy sigh as he walked past the crowd, leaving behind the injured men. Surprisingly, Serafall remained silent throughout the commotion.
'She's probably regretting this outing already...this kind of stuff always happens when I'm with a girl,' Issei thought to himself, feeling a tinge of frustration.
"You really are my bodyguard, aren't you?" Serafall giggled, breaking the silence as they walked away.
As the initial shock subsided, the crowd resumed its normal flow. No one dared to confront Issei, assuming him to be some powerful gangster. Women in the vicinity began casting approving and lustful glances his way, as if his defense of Serafall made him more desirable.
Issei paid little attention to the peculiar reactions of the public. His focus was more on Serafall and her thoughts about the incident. He glanced down at her, surprised that she didn't appear upset or bothered by what had just transpired. To his confusion, she seemed to enjoy it.
"I'm surprised you're not upset about all of this," Issei voiced his honest observation.
Serafall looked up at him with wide eyes and a smile, "Why would I be? You threw that jerk through a glass display. It was awesome!"
"Uhhh...yeah, sure," Issei replied, somewhat taken aback.
'A magical girl cosplayer who enjoys reckless motorcycle rides and condones violence? She just keeps getting weirder. I hope people don't think I was trying to be chivalrous,' Issei thought to himself, aware of the dreamy looks he was receiving from several women.
"Oh my god, did you see what he did to those guys? They were all trying to mess with his girl, and he just threw one through the glass!" a loud gossiping girl exclaimed to her friend.
"I wish he was my boyfriend...that girl is lucky to have a man who will stand up for her," another woman expressed.
Issei overheard these conversations thanks to his heightened dragon senses, and he was relieved that Serafall couldn't hear them.
'Damn it...that's so awkward. I hope Serafall doesn't hear all the crazy things these people are saying about us. It would make things really weird,' Issei thought, glancing down at Serafall once again.
To his surprise, she appeared to be getting embarrassed. Her cheeks turned red, indicating her discomfort. Despite not knowing her for long, Issei was aware that Serafall wasn't typically shy. However, given the overwhelming attention they were receiving, even she had her limits.
"Hey, Issei, let's go in there," Serafall pointed to a nearby store.
To his horror, they entered a woman's clothing store. Issei was reluctant to step inside but grateful for any excuse to escape the staring crowd.
As they entered the store, the employees greeted them warmly. Issei was relieved that they remained professional and didn't comment on his jacket or Serafall's magical girl costume. Serafall eagerly explored the store, picking out various outfits. Once she had a selection, she headed towards the changing room in the back.
Feeling out of place, Issei stood awkwardly, unsure of what to do or where to go. He tried to avoid the curious glances from women as he waited for Serafall to finish changing.
One woman approached him, breaking the uncomfortable silence. "Are you waiting for your girlfriend?" she asked.
"Yeah," Issei replied absentmindedly.
The woman seemed disappointed by his response, nodding before walking away. Issei didn't bother to figure out why she had asked in the first place. Shortly after, the curtain opened, and Serafall stepped out, appearing slightly flustered.
"What?" Issei asked, trying to interpret her expression.
Serafall quickly glanced down and asked, "How does it look on me?"
