The next day, Grey and Fai arrived at the academy as usual, and since the incident, many students looked at them with admiration. They never expected Grey to possess such power.
Now, no one dared to challenge Grey carelessly. Even mocking him like before was out of the question. In their eyes, Grey was no longer a lowly person but someone to be admired and feared.
Grey shook his head at their reactions and continued walking towards their classroom.
"Look at you now, who's popular and feared in the academy?" Fai said with a smile to Grey.
"Oh, you're exaggerating," Grey replied, blushing.
Fai observed Grey's reaction and burst into laughter before they reached their classroom. Initially, the class was bustling, but it instantly fell silent, and all eyes were on Grey.
Grey was surprised by this, but he ignored it and took his seat.
The lesson began as usual, and Grey didn't want to waste this opportunity to focus in class.
Meanwhile, in the city of Agnia, specifically in Agnia City, two individuals dressed in all black sat at a bar.
"Is it the right time now?" one of them asked in a hoarse and heavy voice.
"Yes, with the departure of the King and the headmaster, it should be the right time," replied the other person dressed in black with a captivating voice.
After their conversation, they vanished as if they were never there, like thin air dissipating.
In the classroom, after the lesson, they had a break, and Fai mentioned something that piqued Grey's interest.
"Grey, there's a library in this school, and you'll find something more fascinating than what's inside the classrooms," Fai said.
"Where is the library?" Grey asked, curious.
"Come on, I'll show you the way," Fai said, pulling Grey out of the classroom. As they walked, Grey was amazed and intrigued by the beauty of the school.
Finally, they arrived at the library. Fai took out the royal family emblem badge and they both entered. Once inside, Grey was amazed by the size of the library.
"This library has three levels, but only the first level is open to the public, and the books you can see here are limited to general knowledge and basics. The second level can only be accessed by the royal family members with the family badge, while the third level is only accessible to the King and the heroes," Fai explained about the library to Grey.
Then, Fai explained the rules that applied in the library.
"Grey, in this library, you must maintain silence and avoid making noise. You can also borrow books here, but only on the first level," Fai explained.
Grey nodded, and together with Fai, they explored the library. As they browsed through the books, Grey's eyes were drawn to a book titled "Fundamentals of Magic."
"Oh, you're interested in magic? Alright, let me explain it in more detail," Fai said enthusiastically.
Fai led Grey to a quieter corner of the library where they could sit and talk undisturbed.
"Our first focus is on the elements of magic. There are five main elements that form the foundation of magical powers," Fai explained, opening the book "Fundamentals of Magic."
"The first element is Fire. Fire represents burning energy, warmth, and transformative power. Magic users of the Fire element have the ability to control fire by conjuring flames, creating explosions, or emitting intense heat energy. They tend to have fiery, passionate, and courageous natures when facing challenges," Fai explained with enthusiasm.
"Next, we have the Water element. Water symbolizes flexibility, gentleness, and life
. Magic users of the Water element have the ability to control water, manipulate its shape and flow, and even summon rain. They often possess calm, intuitive, and adaptable qualities, capable of adjusting to any situation," Fai continued his explanation.
Fai noticed Grey's enthusiasm as he absorbed the information, and he continued with growing excitement, "The next element is Earth. Earth represents stability, strength, and growth. Magic users of the Earth element have the ability to manipulate earth, rocks, and solid objects. They usually have steadfast, patient, and responsible qualities in maintaining balance and building a solid foundation."
"Not any less fascinating, we have the Air element. Air represents freedom, swiftness, and clarity. Magic users of the Air element can control the wind, create air currents, and even fly. They often possess free-spirited, creative, and broad-minded qualities in exploring various possibilities," Fai explained with increasing fervor.
Fai saw Grey becoming more fascinated with his explanations, and he continued enthusiastically, "Lastly, we have the Light element. Light symbolizes wisdom, truth, and brightness. Magic users of the Light element have the ability to harness and manipulate light in various ways. They can create dazzling light displays, project blinding flashes of light to disorient their opponents, or even use light energy to heal wounds and restore vitality. Additionally, they possess the unique skill of sensing and revealing hidden truths, making them excellent investigators and seekers of knowledge. Their abilities allow them to illuminate dark areas, both literally and metaphorically, and bring clarity and enlightenment to those around them. They tend to have wise, thoughtful, and goal-oriented natures when facing complex situations."
Fai concluded his explanations with a smile. "Most magic users usually have an affinity or inclination towards one of these elements, although they can also learn and master other elements to varying degrees of proficiency. But remember, Grey, it's important to understand and respect the power of the element you possess and be responsible in its usage."
Grey felt more inspired and interested in the concept of magical elements that Fai explained. A vast world of magic, full of possibilities, unfolded before him. He was grateful to have Fai as a loyal friend and guide in exploring this magical knowledge.
