บท 243: The Talk

"How are you doing?" Beth asked. 

Marcella wanted to laugh. The nerve on her to ask her that. 

"I am as usual. The kids had their breakfast just now and I…" She got the glass of wine Tony poured for her. "Thank you, dear," she smooched his lips, loudly, for Beth to hear. 

"Is that your husband, Mars?" Beth asked, her voice shaking. She must be shocked to know that the couple she tried to break up were still on good terms with each other. 

 "Who else will I have in my kitchen this early in the morning?" Marcella said in a casual tone. 

"Yeah… get ready, dear," Marcella made the smooching noise even though Tony was sitting beside her with his bowl of roasted peanuts. 

She wanted to give Beth the false impression that Tony was not in the room so that she would start her performance.

And she did just that.
