Selena's heart raced as she stood in King Liam's embrace, feeling a mix of fear and a strange sense of security. King Liam's disappointment was hidden behind his composed facade. He released his hold on Selena, allowing her to step back. He whistled, and the sound echoed through the air, calling Storm.

Storm flew down its powerful wings rustling the leaves as it perched on his shoulder. As the majestic bird settled, Selena's chinchilla scurried over to her begging to be picked up into her arms. She cradled the small creature, finding solace in its presence.
