บท 65: Goals

"You seem strangely familiar," Mei Zhen mused as she ventured into the third trial, discovering Ze Kai awaiting her inside the chamber.

"Perhaps we've crossed paths, but I guarantee you won't forget me after today," Ze Kai playfully taunted, a sly smile gracing his lips as he thrust his spear into her heart. The shock of the moment left Mei Zhen reeling, her senses overwhelmed by the searing pain of the spear's cruel penetration.

"How did they conquer this trial?" were Mei Zhen's parting thoughts before succumbing to her demise.

When Mei Zhen awoke once more, she found herself face to face with Ze Kai, back in that very room.

"Am I not departed?" Mei Zhen questioned aloud, her voice tinged with confusion. Ze Kai responded with a smile, his words chilling, "Yes, but only for now." And with that, he dispatched Mei Zhen once more with his merciless spear.
