Valerie's POV
After his alibi, I still didn't endorse him for cheating on his supposed fiancée even though it's just a pretense, but then I'm tired of dwelling on that discussion.
He stared at me for a while when I asked him about his mom before saying, "My mom is a…." He was still trying to say something when we heard the doorbell.
"That will be a story for another day. Freshen up and come downstairs for breakfast, I will get the door now." He said, then walked out of the room.
He must have forgotten that this isn't my room. I chortled lightly, then stood up and arranged the duvet and bedsheet properly. I know it isn't necessary, but I still did it.
After doing that, I strolled to my room and then to the lavatory. When I was done in the bathroom, I walked into my walk-in closet and stared at my reflection in my dressing mirror. I can't believe that I'm adding weight already, though it's not too obvious.
