In Krustalia, the Imperial family had two ranks of Knights, Regular Knights and Guardian Knights.
Regular Knights were ranks given to those with exceptional talent in combat, it was said that in the entire world they were the ones with the highest combat IQ, whiles a Guardian Knight was the strongest rank anyone in the empire could receive.
Guardian Knights ranks even stood above nobles and were only below the Krustalia emperor and Crown Prince.
In the previous era of swords, the Guardian Knights were said to have the power to be able to wipe out entire armies and kingdoms with their swords alone.
It was believed that they weilded power above the human understanding, but with the introduction of guns and firepower their effectiveness was weakened and they were not as strong as before, the Imperial family only kept them around for for ceremonial purposes alone.
At least that was what the world believed, but he as a Crown Prince of Krustalia knew that the Guardian Knights were not people to be judged based on human understanding.
When he was young, he had witnessed their power during an assassination attempt on his life, the guards that saved him were not the usual Guardian knights he was used to,
Those that saved him were very mysterious, they were impervious to bullets and explosions alike, he personally saw a swing of their swordplay cut through an attack helicopter in to two which was several meters above the sky.

They just didn't fit the Knights that saved him as a kid and after several years of investigating, he found out that the Guardian Knights in the palace are chosen disciples of the Guardian Knights, chosen to wield the original weapons of the real Guardian Knights.
The best of the regular knights were chosen by the guardian knights, who would later be trained to wield the true swords of the Guardian Knights, how much power they could exert was up to their talent.
The emperor suddenly got up from his throne and walked down the steps, "follow me!" He commanded.
The Crown Prince nodded and followed the emperor commands.

As they entered, the emperor bowed before the founding ancestors statue which was the biggest within the manor.
After paying their respect to the founding emperor, the current emperor turned towards his son.
"Today I'll tell you the history of our family, not the ones you've been taught by imperial historians, but this is the origin of our empire.
After the war with Archman Group is over and you've conquered the world, I'll abdicate the throne to you!'' The emperor words completely caught the prince off guard.

He choose no side and decided to stay on his fief with his family, but when the Prince's and their supporters met head on in the battlefield.
The founding emperor took along his 8,000 soldiers and invaded the unprotected territories of the other nobles.
Whiles they were fighting on the battlefield, our ancestors was encroaching the unprotected territories.
The nobles couldn't turn back since their respective Prince's were still in battle, they ultimately decided to deal with our family after the war of the princes is over.
Our family on the other hand had strengthened ourselves with the resources we had gained, we had attained wealthy beyond our dreams and imagination, but we knew it wouldn't last long.
We knew that after the war of the Prince's was over, our end would be near. Though we had gotten a vast army, we still couldn't compete with any of the Prince's army's.
After three years of fighting, the second Prince won the war, we knew our time was over but during our darkest time,

At the moment the prince who was engrossed in the tale told by the emperor couldn't help but question, "They?"
"At that times, strangers who claimed to have once ruled the world and had means to save us offered to help"

"Father could this empire be the Archman empire?'' The crown Prince suddenly interjected.

"No it was not the Archman empire, rather it was an empire called the Crystal empire and the ruling dynasty was indeed the Archman family!" The emperor explained.

"The reason for our attack on the Archman family it's not because I want to pick on them, this war is taking place because those helpers commands that it does!"
