"Princess," Sebastian held Elliana's hand to calm her, but the girl gently pulled her hand away from his grip before looking at Nathaniel, her emotions all over the place.
"Tell me, Nathaniel. How the hell am I crossing the line?" Elliana asked, standing from her place before she walked to him and grabbed his collar, pulling his face down, and looking straight into his eyes.
"Am I crossing a line since I don't want to accept her as my mom because I haven't once felt her sincerity through her actions or words? Or am I crossing the line because even after knowing she wanted to kill me, I repeat, my mom wanted to kill me, I was ready to forgive her if she had come to me and explained it all like a grown-up?" Elliana asked.
Nathaniel's pupils dilated when he realized he probably misunderstood Elliana. He felt guilty all over. He opened to apologize, but Elliana shook her head at him.
