After standing near the balcony for some time, Elliana turned around and walked to her closet.

She looked at the ancient book, contemplating taking it out and reading a few more spells to strengthen her powers.

It wasn't like she could change what she was, and since she wasn't changing, she better become the best at what she was.

She needed to become stronger to be able to lift Mr. Marino's curse, and for that, it was important for her to have knowledge of everything related to her species and the powers that resided inside her.

She was about to place her hand on the book to pull it out, knowing all too well that Mr. Marino would be busy again like always because of the ceremony nearing when she heard some distant footsteps, and she hurriedly closed the hidden chamber before closing the closet.
