บท 70: returning to potter manor
when they get into the plane, Lily who is in a daze until then looked at Alex and asked," when did she fell for you?, I'm with you all this time except in the manor, did you both met before?", Alex just shrugged and said," I told her how beautiful she is and also gifted her something that will remind me, but she is gentle one if you remove the arrogant temperament of hers, that's what made her fell for me mother?".
Lily don't know what to say she laughed and pinched Alex's cheek then said," how many girls are you going to take? careful Alex or you will be dead when they met?". Alex thought about the dream he had when Cho and Hermione brought a chainsaw and said," we can finally be alone and together" with a terrifying smile on their face and he shivered imagining that scene and said," mom, please don't drop death flags please and for your answer, I already told Cassandra about my dream though the scene next is something scary , she finally agreed after I said , I will never leave her no matter what for other women, Cho and Hermione don't know about Cassandra, but they get along well even though they knew about me dating both of them and Daphne, she also knows about my relationships, it's just that I didn't respond to her feelings yet, nor she expressed them, but I think she'll also agree after that".
Lily who heard all this dropped a jaw , even flitwick who is next to them pretending to be slept until now after hearing Alex's words jumped at once, ," ouch ", Lily dropped a knuckle charge on Alex and he yelped in pain.
the she said with a murderous smile," so , you're all grown up and now playing with girl's huh? , you didn't consider our house diginity and other problems that'll occur in the future right?, don't worry Alex when we get to our home , fufufu , I will knock some sense into you?".
flitwick who watched Lily's scary face trembled and looked at Alex with pity, Alex on the other hand is apologizing to his mother continuously saying," please go easy on him".
then he hugged her telling her to calm down, Lily on the other hand maintained the murderous smile whenever she glanced at Alex sending shivers down his spine. then Alex thought," no matter who it is or how powerful one can be, they can never move against their mother after she goes into the mama bear mode or commander mama mode". he watched the mama bear mode at home, and now he witnessed the commander mama mode of Lily, he vowed to himself never to upset Lily or better remember the impact it'll cause to him.
flitwick watched this scene and laughed in his heart then thought," a kid who is headache to professors and can beat dark wizards is powerless against his mother, maybe only she can be the only one who control this abnormal kid?". flitwick then gave Alex a smile and a pat on his shoulder as if to Console him, Lily calmed down a little after Alex's constant hugging, pleading and showing a puppy face to let him go just this once. the only one who enjoyed the journey is flitwick only as he saw Alex panicking and fearing look that he hadn't witnessed in Hogwarts.
after they arrived at London, they said goodbye to flitwick as he apparated away, and Alex is carrying a suitcase as always by putting their luggage into them , if a muggle or other wizard who Alex not authorised try to open this suitcase they will only see clothes of a high schooler.
Lily apparated with Alex and arrived at the mansion, she opened the door to see a celebration prepared by James, Sirius and Lupin along with Harry. Alex expected this bought some things as gifts for each of them.
for James he bought a muggle suit, for Sirius he bought a long coat as Sirius always wore one and for Lupin he prepared a camera which Lupin liked very much, as for Harry he brought a remote control car, though disappointed at first after playing with it Harry liked it very much.
he took out the cup, galleons and the parchment which is the certificate of winner of this championship,. he asked how they knew about this and they show the daily prophet in which Alex is getting the reward from MACUSA president himself. the daily prophet praised him for winning the championship for Britain after more than 20 years, and the minister of magic Millicent bagnold praised Alex for winning the championship.
Alex shocked as he saw the name of minister and thought why didn't she resigned to the post or maybe he is the cause of this since in original timeline Millicent bagnold resigned to her post after 1990 and fudge elected as the minister. he also received letters from his friends and also from longbottoms along with the Greengrass family congratulating him.
Cho , Hermoine and Daphne wrote personal letter's to him, congratulating him and saying they look forward to meet him in diagon alley, Alex broke in cold sweat as he has to face 3 families at the same time in shopping for his school supplies and he wondered if he will be returned in one piece after the three of them know about Cassandra, Alex wiped the sweat from his forehead and Lily looked at him with a gaze as If to say," I warned about this".
Harry watched Alex in confusion while Lily explained everything that happened in the duels and in the vole estate and also about Alex and Cassandra to James and his group.
Sirius is looking at Alex with a teasing smirk, Lupin is concerned about Alex while James is looking at Alex with jealousy, this caused Lily to release her rage again, James who sensed the murderous intent looked at Lily while shivering and gulped out of fear and Lily looked at James with rage and disdain. Sirius and Remus who observed this silently escaped from there. Harry who watched his mother for the first immediately hid behind Alex. well regardless to say that day James suffered a lot as coaxing Lily isn't an easy task for him.
บท 71: letter from Dumbledore
James face is pale the next day and Lily is looking at James with rage in her eyes and whenever James tried to talk to her, she'll ignore and walk away from there, Alex on the other hand who is an indirect cause for this is felling sympathy for his father and tried to Console him. even house elves ran away as soon as they see Lily because they are afraid of her rage.
James somehow coaxed her the next day and Lily is back to her calm demeanor, Alex is experimenting with his Alchemy, and invented some tools like enchanted tailsman that can block dark arts for a single time, he also played with his pheonix in his suitcase and also transmitted some messages to Cassandra, they talked for a while about their schools before ending the conversation when Harry poked his head into the suitcase to call him.
they are having lunch when a pheonix appeared from the front gate with a letter, it's Fawkes, after handing the letter Alex fed fawkes some pet food and Fawkes circled around Alex, it looks like Fawkes noticed Nile's breath from him.
Fawkes seeing the pheonix didn't appear confused and then apparated away, Alex gave Nile command not appear since he decided to keep Nile as a secret.
Lily observed Fawkes behaviour and frowned, then pick out the letter from Alex and read it, then looked at Alex with a dumbfounded look, the letter says Dumbledore told Nicolas flamel about Alex and Nicolas want to see Alex and his talent in alchemy, he even mentioned if he perform well, Nicolas might take him as a disciple. Dumbledore told Alex to study alchemy well and impress Nicolas , he also mentioned he'll be there tomorrow to take Alex to Spain for visiting Nicolas, Dumbledore congratulated Alex for winning the championship, except the last sentence everything is well, the last sentence is: hope you'll find another girl in this holidays, Lily burst into laughter after reading that.
James also read the letter and frowned , he didn't expect Alex to got the attention of a famous alchemist, then he read the last sentence and burst out laughing like Lily, Harry also did the same but he is envious of his brother as Alex is getting fame wherever he went.
Alex read the letter and cursed Dumbledore in his heart for this, he didn't know whether Dumbledore knew about Cassandra or tried to make a joke. Lily, James asked him how Alex attracted a famous alchemist, it's now Harry's loose tongue that brought a headache to Alex as Harry revealed everything they did before house cup, this made Lily and James to be frightened after they heard voldemort's involvement, Lily hugged Alex with concern and asked if he got hit by any evil curse and had any injuries.Alex said he is alright.
Lily is now thinking whether to send him to Spain or not after hearing about the philosopher stone incident at Hogwarts and Alex dropped knuckle on Harry's head for this.
Harry smiled wryly and escaped from there before Alex got even mad and Alex is now convincing his mother to allow him to go to Nicolas flamel, though hesitant Lily agreed as Nicolas flamel is one of the best alchemist and the inventor of philosopher's stone.
the next day, Dumbledore apparated to the front gate mansion of potter's as potter manor is protected by a special type of array that'll prevent even a pheonix apparition ability, so that's why Fawkes apparated near the manor and flew towards Alex.
Dumbledore asked," hello James and Lily , long time no see , how are you?, hello there Harry hope you are enjoying the holidays!,is everything ready Alex? the time is tight we need to go or the entrance might disappear from there?". Lily and James greeted Dumbledore , Harry just nodded his head.
Alex brought his suitcase and said," everything is ready professor, we can good to go". Alex said bye to his family and also told them he will visit before a week to end of holidays as they need to buy this year's needs along with meeting Cho, Hermoine and Daphne.
he then grabbed Dumbledore's hand and apparated away, they arrived at Paris and Dumbledore approached a cafe which looks like there is no one, and muggles are walking infront of it as it never existed. he immediately knew it was fidelius charm.
Dumbledore opened the door and a house elf greeted him," welcome, sir Dumbledore, master flamel is waiting for you and for sir Alex, please follow me". Dumbledore and Alex followed the house elf to the back of the store and when browny opened a refrigerator door, the scene on the other side a huge garden with 2 statues with the height of 10 meters gaurding it along with many armours on the side , the house elf motioned them to come along and after they entered the castle guarded by the statues.
an old man's voice sounded," looks like our guests are arrived, thank you browny for bringing them here, can you go and call perenelle here?, hello Albus , hope you're doing weel?, is that young man beside you is the Alex boy that you've mentioned, hello, there child!".
the old man look like a bag of bones and sat in a floating chair, the chair moved towards Alex and Dumbledore, Alex said," hello, mr. flamel, it's an honour to meet you, I'm Alexander James Potter". Nicolas looked at Alex with a smile and Dumbledore said," hello Nick , I'm doing well , how is you and perenelle?" Nicholas replied," as you can see Albus, I'm just sitting in this chair all day and perenelle is much better than me atleast she can walk now."
then the door opened and a woman in similar condition to the old man in chair appeared though she looks old her charm is still there and she said," hello Albus! when did you arrive? and this young man is?". Alex introduced himself again," hello mrs. flamel, I'm Alexander James Potter, how do you do mam?". perenelle looks at the boy and said," oh! so you're the lady killer Albus is writing about in his letters to Nick, you certainly match his description as yours looks may enchant many beauties boy".
Alex stunned for a moment before glancing towards Dumbledore who has a wry smile and coughed. then Dumbledore took out his watch and said," oh! have to go now, meet you again at school Alex, Nick and perenelle sorry I can't stay now, there are some things that need to done, I'll excuse myself".
Nicolas and perenelle asked Dumbledore to stay, but he rejected and said bye to them before grabbing his pheonix and apparated away. perenelle motioned Alex to sit in the sofa while she goes to kitchen to make something for them.
