Dylan was still down, thinking of a way out, thinking of what to do, and thinking about his family and how he might never see them again, when he began to notice something strange about the sand. He looked closely and noticed something: he noticed that the sand was actually not sand but more like glass.
"Hold up, this is actually broken glass; it feels like it, though. What the hell?"
He noticed how these were infinitely shattered pieces of glass-like particles. What also caught his attention was the fact that these "glass sand pieces" didn't illuminate light but were the source of the light themselves.
He wasn't sure, but he also wanted to be sure. He wanted to lift the glass sand pieces with his palm and check them out, but he was hesitant because he thought that if he picked them he would get critically injured since these were glass pieces after all.
He then stood up, realizing there was no point in knowing what the glass pieces were, and continued walking in the direction he had originally gone.
He saw this very bright, welcoming light at the end of the horizon, so he decided to keep walking until he reached the end.
Things are getting complicated, yes?
