Looking up ahead, he saw the mass of spearmen slowly accumulating in one place, expeditiously organized by an enemy officer in a suit of well crafted armor and a surcoat in bright colors through shouts and threats. "Get yer spears out and line up, you damn peasants! Form a spear wall!" Night Owl heard the same enemy officer bawled in haughtiness atop his mount. "Get yer arses moving else I cut you down myself!"

He was brandishing his longsword with his every word, letting fear sprout from his words and gestures to replace training and discipline to guide his troops, adding more terror to the already terrified yet subservient footmen. "Form up tight!"

The tight formation of poorly armored spearmen then prompted an order from Night Owl. "First and Second Regiments, detach and disperse! Veteran Regiment, on me!"
