บท 9: Rabbit Hunt (3)
"Quick, let's return home before he does and notices that we were following him" whispered Celine to Victor who was flying beside her watching their son.
"Did you forget? We can teleport back home, we don't have to hurry. I also doubt he will go to our room to check on us."
Celine pouted "Why can't you just do what I say? I always wanted to do something like this, I always read about how exciting it is and now you ruined it for me. Hmph, this is the second time today and I hope there won't be a third"
Celine teleported back home without looking back leaving Victor shocked and scared. He was shocked because he didn't think his wife would be this angry, and he was scared because he feared his wife would ignore him.
While Victor was regretting what he had done, Enzo arrived at his home. He didn't check to see if his parents were asleep and went straight to his bed. The moment he laid down on the bed, he fell asleep almost instantly. He was exhausted. While it's true that he didn't do much work, he was still in a child's body and add to that the fact that he hasn't slept all night.
At this time Celine was in her room pouting. Victor didn't take all the hints she has given and even worse, he was about to get angry at her.
As the sun rose Celine went to prepare breakfast for them. She didn't prepare Enzo's because she knew he hadn't slept all night and needed to sleep so she would let him rest as much as he needed, he is a child and he doesn't have much to do except rest, play and sleep.
The problem was that he was supposed to start his training today so Celine was in a dilemma on what to do. While Celine was contemplating whether to wake him up or let him sleep, Victor arrived after steeling his heart to take whatever his wife will do to him.
When he saw that Celine was contemplating about something, he knew exactly what it was. He loved his wife very much and that's why he knew almost everything about her.
From what she likes to eat to what her habits are whenever she does something. He always took time to notice the small details and Celine loved that about him. That's why she was angry when he didn't take the hints she kept throwing at him and instead refuted her.
"We can let him sleep. The training can be done at any time, but if he doesn't rest well his body won't function well as he is a child that needs rest." Victor took the chance when he saw his wife thinking hard about something. He took the chance to help her so that the chances of her forgiving him are higher.
"I know that, but I have a feeling that he will go to the forest again. So if he goes everyday then he won't train and will just sleep."
"If you think that he will sneak out again today we can lock the door and he then won't be able to open them"
"But I don't want to limit his freedom. I don't want him to think that he's caged in his own home."
"How about this, we can keep the doors unlocked for one or two more days and if he sneaks out during those days we will do the same as we did yesterday, if on the third day he tries to sneak out again, we will prevent him. That way we would give him freedom and at the same time keep a close eye on him."
"That's a good idea. We'll do what you just said." nodded Celine while smiling. Victor after seeing the smile on her face felt like he dodged a tank that was about to crush him.
Before the sunset by some time, Enzo woke up. 'Huh? That's weird, I feel like I slept for a long time. I'm sure I went into the forest last night and returned by sunrise, So the only explanation is that mom and dad let me sleep. But why? Didn't they say that I will start my training today?'
Enzo thought hard, but couldn't come up with an answer. He didn't even put the thought that his parents knew he sneaked out.
"Good morning mom, what's for breakfast?"
"Good morning to you too, but it isn't morning baby. The sun will set in some time, also it's not breakfast that you'll be having, it's lunch now." smiled Celine.
"Wait, what? I slept all that long and you didn't wake me up? Why? wasn't I supposed to start training today?"
"We saw that you needed more sleep and no matter how we tried to wake you up, you didn't want to." The reality was that they didn't even try to wake him, they just decided that they will let him wake up whenever he wants.
