The Hua University freshmen ball took place at night, and while attendance wasn't mandatory for all freshmen, many saw it as an opportunity to immerse themselves in campus life and forge new social bonds.

Su Ziyun paid a visit to Dorm 606 to find Tong Jiayin. Despite their past disagreements, they quickly set them aside.

Observing Tong Jiayin applying makeup with an array of expensive cosmetics on the table, Su Ziyun complimented her, "Jiayin, your eye shadow looks stunning. Could I borrow it?"

Tong Jiayin casually fetched an unused box of eye shadow from her drawer and tossed it onto the table. "This one's for you. I'm not really into sharing my cosmetics."

Su Ziyun's smile faltered, but she accepted the eye shadow box graciously. "Thank you, Jiayin."

Tong Jiayin huffed, "No need to thank me. I won't be using it anyway, so you might as well take it."
