She nodded. Sheila also nodded and moved towards her bedroom. Mia walked to the chair and sat down, while Jack followed, sitting opposite her. She crossed her legs and hoped her eyes weren't too puffy. She didn't want him to know she had been crying because of him.
"When are you coming back home, Mia?"
Mia frowned. Of course, he didn't care about her. He never asked how she was doing. He didn't ask if she was still upset or what she wanted. He asked when she was coming back because that was what suited him well.
"I'm not coming back to you, Jack. I want a divorce."
He leaned back in the chair, staring at her. He was quiet for a while, his gaze moving all over her, giving her goosebumps. She had never felt that way towards him before, but Mia didn't like the way he looked at her at all.
"You know that's not possible, Mia. I will never grant you a divorce. You are mine, Mia."
