Lily's eyes darted towards Jessica, searching for solace or perhaps a denial of the revelation that hung heavily in the air. Instead, what she found was an apology, a silent admission that the truth was as grim as Renard had declared. Unable to support the weight of her emotions, Lily's legs gave way beneath her, and she sank onto the bed, muttering a disbelieving refrain, "I can't believe this!"

Renard, indifferent to Lily's disbelief, confirmed the chilling details of Jack's demise. "Jack died that night alongside his mother, Rosa."

The room seemed to close in on Lily as the gravity of Renard's words settled like a heavy fog. "You killed both of them?" Lily's voice trembled with a mixture of horror and accusation.

Renard, unflinching, clarified on the event. "I killed Jack, and Adams killed Rosa, but he was acting under my authority. I made sure it was a very painful death for Jack."
