บท 293: Department representative

Gao Tian was the first to react, awkwardly stepping back and running a hand through his hair. 

Jiang Xiu glanced nervously between them, her lips pressed into a thin line. She hadn't meant for Jiang Yue to find out, let alone for Gao Tian to slip up. In fact, she had never intended to tell her sister at all.

Jiang Yue had enough to deal with already, and Jiang Xiu didn't want to add to her burdens. Not to mention it was merely some comments. 

Jiang Yue's piercing gaze zeroed in on Gao Tian. "Spit it out."

Gao Tian scratched the back of his neck, avoiding her eyes. "It wasn't a big deal, really. Just some offhanded comments. You know how Xia Mingzhou is."

Jiang Xiu didn't want her sister to know about it. But now, thanks to him, her sister knew.

"Comments like what?" Jiang Yue pressed, her voice dropping a degree colder.
